I chose this website because it is a study done by the University of Nigeria to see the effects of learning on a smart board and on a chalk board. The Study showed students learned better with a smart board.

Use of this website allows the students in the class to get a little more insight onto what is going to be going on in the class as well as a way to contact the teachers. Updated frequently,at the end of each day the students should be able to access the site for a review of the material.

This is an interactive, online whiteboard where you can plan and draw webs and timelines and whatever you can think of. You can also insert videos, documents, photos, and lots of other things. You can put notes and post-its and, best of all, you can invite other people to be on the board with you and edit together!! As a teacher this could be very handy and posting a link to it on your classroom website will enable you to work with your students at home!

Pinterest gives users access to everything from creative ways to make lesson plans, to DIY crafts in the classroom, to external links to worksheets for all subjects. We felt education boards on Pinterest could be useful because they are easy to navigate and can expose teachers to new websites and resources.

I think that this Pinterest board by Edutopia is a wonderful resource for PBL because it provides links to so many resources for PBL, ranging from lesson plans to statistics on the success of PBL.

This is another excellent Pinterest board that focuses on many different PLN. One can choose form several different PLNs.

This Pinterest board shows several different teaching ideas and ways to teach students about different topics. Most of the topics are agriculturally related. There are also links to websites with information for new teachers. Pinterest is an excellent source for new and different teaching ideas.

This is a wonderful blogging site. In this blog they discuss how to teach digital citizenship, the good and the bad.

Padlet is another way to collaborate with students or parents who want to quickly and easily post something for anyone to access. There is an option to post anonymously. It's a great tool for feedback or questions/concerns or even a way for parents and students to talk to one another.

This is an app that allows students to collaborate with one another to create a drawing. The app could also be used for students to communicate in other ways than face-to-face. The best part about this app is that students do not need to be sitting next to each other to create a drawing. Students from across the room could communicate through the app without discussing face to face. Allowing students the opportunity to express creativity in methods other than writing could increase students level of comfort with a specific material.
