Alexicom Tech - 0 views

  •
"Alexicom is the only Internet-based Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) system available today. There is no longer a need to purchase a large bulky device that can cost thousands of dollars. You can now have an AAC system that will work anytime and anywhere, online or offline, at a fraction of the cost compared to any other systems available today. Designed by parents of an AAC user and speech-language pathologists, Alexicom is extremely affordable. At only $40 a month with no contracts or $408 per year, Alexicom is designed to be extremely user-friendly and has the ability to grow with the user as his or her needs change."

78 Videos that will make you go Huh, Whoa, Wow, Ahhh, and Ha-Ha | Blogush - 3 views

"So in my quest for popularity and a desire to possibly hit triple digits in views for one day, my last post for 2009 will not be a deep reflective piece, but simply a list of 78 videos that I use throughout the year for various reasons. You may find them incredibly useful, a total waste of time, a great use of your free time, or maybe just a source of a few laughs. I would really appreciate it if you added your favorite videos in the comment section."

Digitally Speaking / Voicethread - 0 views

  •
"Using Voicethread for Digital Conversations Beginning with email and instant messages and stretching to texting and synchronous video web conferencing, digital dialogue has gradually become a common element of everyday life for today's students-another opportunity to "gather." The kinds of personal relationships shaped on the playground in an earlier era are now developed in MySpace and Facebook. While the format may be different, the purpose remains the same: Our students are crafting identities and are driven to connect."

Glenda's A.T. Information and more...: iPhones and iPodTouch - 1 views

"iPhones and iPodTouch We all see those great advertisements about iPhone "apps", what you might not realize though is how wonderful the iPhone can be for people with various challenges. Much of the attractiveness of the iPhone and iPod apps, available for children and teens who benefit from options in communication and organization, is that everyone is so familiar with them or willing to learn more about them due to their awesome appeal, popularity and tech culture status. They are the in thing! What you may not know is that parents, Speech and Language Specialist and teachers have begun developing programs specifically for the disabled population. Some may not be designed for the disabled but have become a great tool for them anyway! This is not a complete listing, I am sure, but it is a beginning. I will try to keep it up-dated. Please let me know if I miss something! Remember also that you do not have to have a phone as part of your system as you can download, purchase and use the same (most anyway) "apps" by using an iPodTouch. "

Customizable Graphic Organizers for Teachers (Grades K-12) - TeacherVision.com - 1 views

  •
"Customizable Graphic Organizers Successful teachers know how useful graphic organizers are in every subject. Now you can edit your graphic organizers before you print them out! This is a great tool for creating example worksheets for your class; you can fill out an entire graphic organizer to use as an example or answer key, or you can just fill in a few of the blanks to get your students started. Or, have your students fill out each graphic organizer on their own computer, making unreadable handwriting a problem of the past. Feel free to customize these printable graphic organizers to fit your needs and your classroom instruction."
