ISAAC - International AAC Awareness Month - 1 views

  •
"A "flash mob" is planned for Mohawk College in Hamilton, Canada, in celebration of International AAC Awareness Month. This will happen in November instead of October, as this works better with the students' schedules. Students from Mohawk will be helping to organize the event. A person who uses AAC in Hamilton has written a song, "I've Got a Lot to Say," which has been professionally recorded (ISAAC International helped with the production costs). The song will be programmed onto a number of AAC devices used by clients of the Technology Access Clinic at McMaster Children's Hospital. This is what will be used for the flash mob. The event will be videotaped, uploaded to YouTube, and posted on the ISAAC website"

cp positioning rap - YouTube - 0 views

  •
"A rap song that explains proper positioning for children with cerebral palsy. Alex and Douglas McIntosh performing when they were very young. This video was made as part of a project by Laurie McIntosh, OTR, to help train teachers and classroom aides about CP. The lyrics are: You've gotta understand a thing about me, I'm a regular kid and I've got CP. Things are cool, and I'm no fool. My body works great if I follow all the rules. Cuz gravity will get you if you don't sit right. You'll slide off your seat or you'll slip out of sight. Put your feet on the floor, sit back in your seat, tip your pelvis to the front, and you'll look so neat. Oh yea!"
