The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of the Director announces the availability of administrative supplements to expand existing research to focus on Sexual and Gender Minority (SGM) health. Principal Investigators holding specific types of NIH research grants, listed in the full Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) are notified that funds may be available for administrative supplements to meet increased costs that are within the scope of the approved award, but that were unforeseen when the new or renewal application or grant progress report for non-competing continuation support was submitted. Applications for administrative supplements are considered prior approval requests (as described in Section 8.1.2.11 of the NIH Grants Policy Statement) and will be routed directly to the Grants Management Officer of the parent award. Although requests for administrative supplements may be submitted through this FOA, there is no guarantee that funds are available from the awarding IC or for any specific grant.

The U.S. Agency for International Development seeks information to create new pathways to work with local civil society and religious organizations in our disaster preparation, relief, and recovery activities. This announcement is a Request for Information (RFI), not a Request for Applications (RFA) or a Request for Proposal (RFP), and is not a commitment by USAID to issue a solicitation, contract, grant, or cooperative agreement or otherwise compensate an organization or individual for any information submitted as a result of this RFI. This RFI is not funded and does not imply a commitment of funding from the U.S. Government. The issuance of this RFI in no way obligates USAID to pay any costs incurred in the preparation and submission of the requested information. Please do not submit proposals or statements of qualifications in response to this request. USAID will not provide answers to any questions submitted in response to this request. The 2017 Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index Report indicated that "across Eastern and Southeast Europe, civil society organizations and independent media experienced challenges in their ability to monitor and criticize decision-makers." Moreover, perceived instances of selective justice in Moldova and widespread corruption are widely regarded as key impediments to substantive reform in the criminal justice system that also contribute to low public trust in justice sector institutions. An active civil society plays an important role in protecting fundamental rights by monitoring the local actions of law enforcement entities and justice sector institutions, which can contribute to productive communication and enhance public trust.

As a capacity-building strategy, ILA proposes that the Native American Independent Living Demonstration Project will support Native American Independent Living (IL) Specialists who have similar responsibilities to the non- Native American IL Specialist counterpart in the center for independent living, but with a focus in Indian Country. The Project will provide the independent living core services including: information and referral; skills training; peer counseling; individual and systems advocacy; and services that facilitate transition from nursing homes and other institutions to the community, assistance to individuals at risk of entering institutions and transition of youth to post secondary life. In addition, the Native American IL Specialist will conduct activities such as: • Serve as an information and resource specialist about disabilities to the Tribes in their Area• Gather information about IL needs in Indian Country• Gather data and information about disabilities in Indian Country• Gather information about current tribal efforts at providing assistance to tribal members with disabilities• Serve as a liaison between State IL Programs, the Statewide Independent Living Councils (SILCs) and Indian Country• Establish inter-agency coalitions in Indian Country to focus on serving the unmet needs of tribal members with disabilities• Serve as an effective advocate and liaison between ACL programs and services and Indian Country.

The Tribal Justice Corrections Capacity Building Training and Technical Assistance Program furthers the Department's mission by assisting federally recognized Indian tribes in strengthening their correctional system capacity to provide community supervision and implement reentry strategies to reduce crime, enhance public safety, and facilitate community reintegration efforts for justice-involved individuals.

NSF INCLUDES (Inclusion across the Nation of Communities of Learners of Underrepresented Discoverers in Engineering and Science) is a comprehensive national initiative designed to enhance U.S. leadership in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) discoveries and innovations by focusing on broadening participation in these fields at scale. The vision of NSF INCLUDES is to catalyze the STEM enterprise to collaboratively work for inclusive change, which will result in a STEM workforce that reflects the population of the Nation. The initiative is developing a National Network composed of NSF INCLUDES Design and Development Launch Pilots, NSF INCLUDES Alliances, an NSF INCLUDES Coordination Hub, NSF-funded broadening participation projects, other relevant NSF-funded projects, scholars engaged in broadening participation research, and other organizations that support the development of talent from all sectors of society to build an inclusive STEM workforce. The successful implementation of NSF INCLUDES will result in substantial advances toward a diverse, innovative, and well-prepared STEM workforce to support our Nation's economy and continued U.S. leadership in the global STEM enterprise. It is anticipated that NSF's investment will contribute to new and improved STEM career pathways, policies, opportunities to learn, and practices for equity and inclusion. The initiative will be supported by the NSF INCLUDES Coordination Hub (NSF 17-591) that will provide a framework for communication and networking, network assistance and reinforcement, and visibility and expansion for the NSF INCLUDES National Network as a whole.

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites applications from the Program Directors/Principal Investigators of the current Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity (BUILD) awards. BUILD is part of the Enhancing the Diversity of the NIH-Funded Workforce Program, also known as the Diversity Program Consortium (DPC), consists of three integrated initiatives: BUILD, the National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) and the Coordination and Evaluation Center (CEC). The purpose of the funding is to allow BUILD sites to continue to implement and evaluate the multi-pronged student, faculty, and institutional interventions to enhance diversity in the NIH biomedical research workforce. In preparation for the second phase of the BUILD initiative, the applicants are expected to provide plans to transition into sustainable models for enhancing diversity in the biomedical research fields at their institutions. Applicants are also expected to develop an effective training, mentoring, or research capacity building intervention that will be disseminated to other institutions to increase the national impact of the initiative.

The goal of this cooperative project is to develop an NPS framework to identify and address vulnerabilities of cultural resources to environmental stresses and weathering, with a focus on resources in the NPS Intermountain Region (IMR). The project will be implemented in three phases corresponding to three distinct scopes: Impacts Analysis (Phase I, in progress â¿¿ funded in FY18), Adaptation and Mitigation Strategy Development (Phase II â¿¿ funded in FY18, current scope of work), and Scenario Planning (Phase III â¿¿ funded in FY19) . The specific objective of this task agreement is to complete Phase II, Adaptation and Mitigation Strategies Development. This project will build on data collected and analyzed through Phase I (Impacts Analysis; P16AC01463).

The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) will provide Federal assistance to support innovative projects seeking to promote and ensure the inclusion and use of minority enterprises. Founded in 1956, the Chicago-based Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts provides project-based grants to individuals and organizations and produces public programs to foster the development and exchange of diverse and challenging ideas about architecture and its role in the arts, culture, and society.

With support from the intermediary organization, school leaders will identify specific barriers to high school graduation, postsecondary enrollment, or postsecondary success, such as whether 12th grade students have submitted postsecondary applications and are on track to enroll in a postsecondary institution. To focus their work, schools will use continuous improvement methods to tackle the problem based on evidence and what they know about their students. By closely following student outcomes and the indicators that best predict whether a student will graduate high school and be successful in college, principals and teachers will know if their efforts are having the impact that they desire. And as part of a network, they'll also learn from each other about what's working and why.

Typically, GAWL Foundation grants range from $500 to $2000 and are best suited to smaller organizations that will benefit from grants of this scale. The Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations is accepting proposals from non-Unitarian Universalist groups in the U.S. and Canada for community organizing campaigns aimed at creating systemic change in the economic, social, and political structures that affect the lives of those who have been excluded from resources, power, and the right to determination. Through the Fund for a Just Society, UUAC supports projects that are less likely to receive conventional funding because of the innovative or challenging nature of the work or the economic and social status of the constituency. UUAC does not fund social services, educational programs, or advocacy projects. Grants are not awarded for the purposes of re-granting, equipment, capital campaigns, politically partisan efforts, educational institutions, medical or scientific research, or cultural programs. The organization will consider the funding of films, publications, or curricula if they are an integral part of a strategy of collective action for social change. UUAC does not fund individuals.

YSA is now accepting applications for the 2019 MLK Day of Service Grants to activate youth volunteers on MLK Day of Service weekend. Funded by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, these grants offer youth development organizations, community-based organizations, and schools/school districts grant funding and capacity-building training to effectively recruit and engage young people in meaningful service activities. Asking young people to volunteer for the first time on national days of service is a critical first step towards creating a culture in which all young people have the opportunity and support to find their voice, take action, and make an impact in their communities. Grantees will activate youth, ages 5-25 - 80% middle and high school age - to lead service or service-learning projects through which they can acquire 21st Century Skills (Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, and Critical Thinking).

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the Embassy of the United States of America in South Africa invites interested non-profit organizations, public international organizations, and private, public, or state institutions of higher education in South Africa and the United States to submit abstracts for Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation projects in accordance with the specifications outlined in the full program description, which is attached to this notice (click on the "Related Documents" tab). The Department of State established the Ambassador's Fund for Cultural preservation (AFCP) at the request of the Congress in Conference Report 106-1005 accompanying H.R. 4942 (October 26, 2000).
