The New Netherland Research Center (NNRC), a joint endeavor of the New Netherland Institute (NNI) and the Office of Cultural Education, New York State Education Department (NYSED/OCE), with financial support from the government of the Netherlands, announces the NNRC Student Scholar in Residence Research Grant. The grant covers a period of up to three months in residence and provides a stipend of $5,000. A time frame for fulfilling the grant requirements will be established in consultation with the director of NNI. No housing, travel funds, or health insurance are provided. Applications are due by June 1.

The National Park Service's (NPS) FY 2017 African American Civil Rights Grant Program (AACR) will document, interpret, and preserve the sites related to the African American struggle to gain equal rights as citizens in the 20th Century. The NPS 2008 report, "Civil Rights in America, A Framework for Identifying Significant Sites," will serve as the reference document in determining the appropriateness of proposed projects and properties. AACR Grants are funded by the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF), administered by the NPS. Grants will fund a broad range of planning and research projects for historic sites including: survey, inventory, documentation, interpretation, and education. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of the Director announces the availability of administrative supplements to expand existing research to focus on Sexual and Gender Minority (SGM) health. Principal Investigators holding specific types of NIH research grants, listed in the full Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) are notified that funds may be available for administrative supplements to meet increased costs that are within the scope of the approved award, but that were unforeseen when the new or renewal application or grant progress report for non-competing continuation support was submitted. Applications for administrative supplements are considered prior approval requests (as described in Section 8.1.2.11 of the NIH Grants Policy Statement) and will be routed directly to the Grants Management Officer of the parent award. Although requests for administrative supplements may be submitted through this FOA, there is no guarantee that funds are available from the awarding IC or for any specific grant.

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi announces an open competition through the Public Diplomacy Grants program for a Cooperative Agreement to implement one or both activities of a "TechCamp" project focused on growing women-owned social enterprises in India and Pakistan which includes a workshop and follow-on. The Administration for Children and Families, Administration for Native Americans announces the availability of Fiscal Year 2018 funds for the Native American Language Preservation and Maintenance - Esther Martinez Immersion (EMI) program. EMI provides funding for community-based projects that ensure continuing vitality of Native languages through immersion-based instruction. Programs funded under the EMI funding opportunity announcement must meet the requirements for either a Native American Language Nest, or a Native American Survival School. As defined by Esther Martinez Native American Languages Preservation Act (42 U.S.C. 2991b-3(b)(7). Pub. L. 109-394), Language Nests are "site-based educational programs that provide child care and instruction in a Native American language for at least 10 children under the age of seven for an average of at least 500 hours per child," and Native American Survival Schools are "site based educational programs for school-aged students that provide at least 500 hours per year per student of Native American language instruction to at least 15 students".

The Polish Studies Association is pleased to announce its inaugural Dissertation Research Award. This award, in the amount of XXXX, aims to assist dissertation research on any topic in the humanities and social sciences that makes significant contributions to the study of Poland and/or Poland in a global context. The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) will provide Federal assistance to support innovative projects seeking to promote and ensure the inclusion and use of minority enterprises. The Kitsap Community Foundation in Silverdale, Washington, has announced that it has an additional $90,000 to award in 2019 to small and medium-sized 501(c)(3) organizations doing work in the fields of behavioral health and health equity in Kitsap and North Mason counties. The new grant money was made available by Premera Blue Cross as part of Premera's Social Impact Program. Recognizing the important connection between behavioral health and overall health, Premera Blue Cross launched the program with the aim of supporting behavioral health issues, particularly in underserved communities. The program currently supports sixty-four evidence‐based programs and pilot projects with the potential for significant impact in Washington state and Alaska, and the focus of those programs and pilots, for the most part, is on prevention rather than intervention. Indeed, the foundation and Premera believe that by addressing behavioral health issues - especially for populations where community health data consistently shows treatment disparities exist - overall community health will improve. Grant amounts will range between $5,000 and $15,000, and priority will be given to proposals that serve underserved communities, including people of color, low‐income populations, rural populations, and children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences. Grant funds must be used during the 2020 calendar year.

Michigan State University Libraries invites applications for research grants for the summer of 2020. The grants are intended to help scholars who live more than 100 miles from East Lansing whose research would benefit from on-site access to the rich primary source collections housed in MSU Libraries' Special Collections. The 2020 grants are made possible through the generous support of Char Mollison and MSU Libraries Special Collections Endowment. Five grants of $3,000 will be awarded based on the overall promise of the research project and the significance of MSU's Special Collections to the work. The on-site research period must run for at least one week between May 1 and September 30 of the year awarded. Research strengths of MSU Special Collections are deep and varied, including an outstanding comic art collection; American radicalism on the extreme right and left; extensive holdings on Latino and Chicano activism and artists; popular culture; zines, Africana; exceptional rare book holdings in cookery, the history of science, veterinary medicine, Italian unification, conduct books; one of the country's oldest LGBTQ+ collections; a peerless collection documenting the contemporary men's movements; and the papers of numerous Michigan writers including Richard Ford, and Diane Wakoski. The National Endowment for the Humanities, in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, announces the launch of the special initiative, Created Equal: America's Civil Rights Struggle. The project brings together four nationally acclaimed films that connect the stories of the long civil rights movement to spark public conversations about the changing meanings of freedom and equality in U.S. history. Up to 500 communities across the nation will receive these four inspiring NEH-funded films on Civil Rights history, accompanied by programming resources to guide public conversations. Each participating site will receive an award of up to $1,200 to support public programming exploring the themes of the Created Equal project.

Through an open competition, HHMI plans to select scientists early in their training to become Hanna H. Gray Fellows. Each fellow will receive funding for up to eight years, with mentoring and active involvement within the HHMI community. In this two-phase program, fellows will be supported from early postdoctoral training through several years of a tenure-track faculty position. In the first competition cycle, HHMI will select up to 15 fellows and invest a total of up to $25 million for their support over eight years.

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) with other ICs are issuing this Notice of Intent to Publish a Funding Opportunity Announcement to promote new initiatives that will solicit applications to support research to determine the role and impact of digital health interventions [e.g., mobile health (mhealth), telemedicine and telehealth, health information technology (IT), wearable devices] to address secondary health effects of the social, behavioral, and economic changes following the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly among populations who experience health disparities and vulnerable populations.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is announcing the availability of funds under this grant program to assist researchers in conducting health services research for 2013. The purpose of the Hispanic grant program is to implement Hispanic health services research activities to meet the needs of diverse CMS beneficiary populations.
