The Course Hero-Woodrow Wilson Fellowship for Excellence in Teaching will support rising stars in the academy who love teaching, demonstrate excellence as educators, and are making their mark as exceptional researchers, poised to shape their fields. Designed for young scholars working towards tenure, the Course Hero-WW Fellowship is a "genius grant" that will emphasize the balance between scholarly excellence and commitment to teaching practice that draws on new approaches to pedagogy, creating a new level of engagement for students in and beyond the classroom. In short, Fellows will be emerging heroes in their fields, on a clear trajectory to become great college educators. In its inaugural year, the Course Hero-WW Fellowship will identify five outstanding junior faculty members. Fellows will receive a one-year grant of $40,000-approximately $30,000 to support the engagement of a student assistant and the balance to be used for research and travel support. Exceptional candidates teach in ways that build student confidence and mastery of a subject; encourage critical thinking; explore foundational concepts through the lens of broader themes and global events; promote the power of learning communities beyond the classroom; leverage technology to complement the classroom experience; consider and serve different learning styles; prepare students for lifelong learning; and can serve as replicable teaching models for other educators. Selection takes place in June 2018. The five Fellows will be invited to attend the Course Hero Education Summit in July 2018, where their Fellowships will be announced.

As part of this mission, the NAEd/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship Program supports early-career scholars working in critical areas of education research. This non-residential postdoctoral fellowship is intended to fund proposals that make significant scholarly contributions to the field of education. The program also develops the careers of its recipients through professional development activities involving National Academy of Education members. Fellows receive $70,000 for an academic year of research, or $35,000 for each of two contiguous years working half-time, and will be included in professional development retreats with other fellows and NAEd members. Fellowships must begin during the 2017-18 academic year.

Editorial Projects in Education (EPE), a nonprofit corporation based in Bethesda, Maryland, is best known as the publisher of Education Week. Since its founding in 1981, Education Week has served the nation's pre-K-12 policymakers, educators, researchers, and other influencers with independent and highly respected journalism, research, data, and community. As a leading resource in the field, Education Week engages readers with important education news, meaningful analysis, distinctive explanatory and investigative journalism, and outside opinion and commentary across a range of digital, print, and broadcast platforms, as well as through live and virtual events. As part of its mission, EPE is accepting applications for the inaugural Education Week Gregory M. Chronister Journalism Fellowship, to be awarded annually to an enterprising journalist in support of a reporting project that illuminates a significant issue in pre-K-12 education. The annual fellowship aims to support a recipient who undertakes a significant enterprising or investigative journalism project that promises to inform and educate the field and the public about a timely and important issue for pre-K-12 education. The fellowship, which is intended to be completed while the recipient continues his or her regular employment, provides financial support of up to $10,000.

Mercator-IPC Fellows work at Istanbul Policy Center (IPC), an independent policy research institute with global outreach located in the center of Istanbul. IPC's mission is to foster academic research and its application to policy making. The Center is firmly committed to providing decision makers, opinion leaders, academics and the general public with innovative and objective analyses of key domestic and foreign policy issues. IPC offers the Mercator-IPC Fellows access to a broad network of academics, civil society activists and decision makers as well as a unique platform for sound academic research to shape hands-on policy work. Likewise, fellows profit from Sabancı University's exceptional intellectual capital and vast reserves of scientific knowledge. Mercator-IPC Fellowships are available to outstanding academics and professionals who work in one of three thematic areas: | EU/German-Turkish relations | Climate change | Education In the 2014/15 round, at least six Mercator-IPC Fellowships are available for outstanding young academics and professionals who have significant prior work experience. The fellows will be expected to work on academic or practical projects at IPC. A Master's degree (or equivalent) is required for this position, but a PhD degree is strongly preferred. Projects which focus on the German-Turkish nexus are likewise preferred.  The 2014/15 fellowships begin September 1, 2014 and the deadline for applications is April 1, 2014.

The National Academy of Education works to advance high-quality education research and its use in policy formation and practice. Founded in 1965, the academy comprises members in the United States and foreign associates who are elected on the basis of outstanding scholarship related to education. Since its establishment, NAEd has undertaken research studies that address pressing issues in education conducted by its members and other scholars with relevant expertise. As part of that mission, the NAEd/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship Program supports early-career scholars working in critical areas of education research. The non-residential postdoctoral fellowship funds proposals with the potential to make significant scholarly contributions to the field of education. The program also aims to develop the careers of its recipients through professional development activities involving National Academy of Education members. Fellows receive $70,000 for one academic year of research, or $35,000 for each of two contiguous years working half-time, and are included in professional development retreats with other fellows and NAEd members. The program is open to all eligible applicants regardless of race, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, or sexual orientation. Applicants must have received their PhD, EdD, or equivalent research degree between January 1, 2012, and December 31, 2016. In addition, all applicants should have a demonstrated record of research experience in education.

The Fellowship Program expects to award two new Ph.D. Fellowships each year to students who are interested in careers related to the development and implementation of quantitative methods for assessing the economics of the conservation and management of living marine resources. Fellows will work on thesis problems of public interest and relevance to National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) under the guidance of NMFS mentors at participating NMFS Science Centers or Offices. The NMFS-Sea Grant Fellowship in Marine Resource Economics meets NOAA's Healthy Oceans goal of "Marine fisheries, habitats, biodiversity sustained with healthy and productive ecosystems." The expected annual award per Fellow will be $46,000 (Federal plus matching funds), which is funded jointly by NOAA Fisheries and Sea Grant.

Established in 1998 through the generosity of the family of painter Richard Diebenkorn - both an alumnus of and longtime faculty member at SFAI - the fellowship provides an opportunity for artists to teach at the institute and have sufficient time and financial support to sustain their practice while doing so in the renowned studio environment of Headlands Center for the Arts. Through its semester-long structure, which includes a residency with studio space at Headlands, the fellowship not only offers each participating artist an invaluable opportunity to further their own practice, it also leaves a deep, lasting impression on SFAI students.

The Graduate Research Fellowship in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (GRF-STEM) provides awards to accredited academic institutions to support graduate research leading to doctoral degrees in topic areas that are relevant to ensuring public safety, preventing and controlling crime, and ensuring the fair and impartial administration of criminal justice in the United States. Applicant academic institutions sponsoring doctoral students are eligible to apply only if the doctoral student's degree program is a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline; and the student's proposed dissertation research has demonstrable implications for addressing the challenges of crime and/or the fair and impartial administration of criminal justice in the United States.Awards are anticipated to be made to successful applicant institutions in the form of grants to cover fellowships for the sponsored doctoral students. Awards are made for up to 3 years of support usable over a 5-year period. For each year of support, NIJ provides the degree-granting institution a stipend of $35,000 usable toward the student's salary and related costs, and up to $15,000 to cover the student's tuition and fees, research expenses, and related costs.

The postdoctoral fellowship was established in 1986 by the NAEd with a grant from the Spencer Foundation. The fellowship program is intended to support early-career scholars working in critical areas of education research. To that end, the NAEd seeks to fund proposals that promise to make significant scholarly contributions to the field of education and to advance the careers of the recipients.

The Children's Theatre Foundation of America's grantmaking focus is on theatre for children and youth, the utilization of drama or theatre in education for children grades K-12, and development opportunities for theatre artists working in the area of children's theatre in the United States. The Foundation's Aurand Harris Grants and Fellowship Fund supports small and mid-sized nonprofit theatres that are engaged in a new initiative for a particular company or a new original play for children and youth. Professional theatre artists working in theatre for young audiences may also apply for support in the development of their artistic excellence. By participating in the Global Learning Fellowship program, educators have an opportunity to lead the profession by acquiring the necessary skills to integrate global competence into their daily classroom instruction, advance pedagogy in their school/district, prepare students to thrive in the flattened global age, and thus contribute to the closing of the global achievement gap.

The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program seeks to encourage talented science, technology, engineering, and mathematics majors and professionals to become K-12 mathematics and science teachers. The Noyce Scholarship Track provides funds to institutions of higher education to support scholarships, stipends, and academic programs for undergraduate STEM majors and post-baccalaureate students holding STEM degrees who earn a teaching credential and commit to teaching in high-need K-12 school districts.   The NSF Teaching Fellowship/Master Teaching Fellowship Track provides funding to support STEM professionals who enroll as NSF Teaching Fellows in master's degree programs leading to teacher certification by providing academic courses, professional development, and salary supplements while they are fulfilling a four-year teaching commitment in a high-need school district.  This track also supports the development of NSF Master Teaching Fellows by providing professional development and salary supplements for exemplary mathematics and science teachers to become Master Teachers in high-need school districts.  Capacity Building Projects support the development of new programs and activities to increase the capacity for institutions to provide innovative teacher preparation programs that enable increasing numbers of STEM majors and STEM professionals to become effective K-12 mathematics and science teachers and to develop the capacity to prepare Master science and mathematics teachers.

The Jack Kent Cooke Dissertation Fellowship Award supports advanced doctoral students who are completing dissertations that further the understanding of the educational pathways and experiences of high-achieving, low-income students. We seek to provide funding for doctoral candidates whose work informs and advances the following populations/aspects of our mission: high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds, and/or students who demonstrate the potential for achievement, and/or the conditions that promote high achievement (e.g., school settings, interventions, policies).

Fellowships will be awarded to individuals who have demonstrated superior academic achievement, are committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level, show promise of future achievement as scholars and teachers, and are well prepared to use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students.

The National Science Foundation Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program seeks to encourage talented science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) majors and professionals to become K-12 mathematics and science (including engineering and computer science) teachers. The program invites creative and innovative proposals that address the critical need for recruiting and preparing highly effective elementary and secondary science and mathematics teachers in high-need local educational agencies. The program offers four tracks: Track 1: The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarships and Stipends Track, Track 2: The NSF Teaching Fellowships Track, Track 3: The NSF Master Teaching Fellowships Track, and Track 4: Noyce Research Track. In addition, Capacity Building proposals are accepted from proposers intending to develop a future Track 1, 2, or 3 proposal.

By participating in the Global Learning Fellowship program, educators have an opportunity to lead the profession by acquiring the skills needed to integrate global competence into their daily classroom instruction, advance pedagogy in their school/district, prepare students to thrive in a "flattened" global age, and contribute to the closing of the global achievement gap.

The American Psychological Association is accepting applications for its Elizabeth Munsterberg Koppitz Fellowship program, which is designed to nurture excellent young scholars for careers in areas of psychology, such as child-clinical, pediatric, school, educational and developmental psychopathology. Through the program, one-year grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded to support graduate research projects and scholarships in child psychology. To be eligible, applicants must have completed doctoral candidacy at the time of application (documentation required) and demonstrated research competence and area commitment. In addition, IRB approval must be received from their host institution before funding can be awarded if human participants are involved.

Proposed fellowships must fit the Grant Foundation's research interests. The foundation currently supports research designed to understand and improve the everyday settings of youth between the ages of 8 and 25 in the United States. Specifically, the foundation funds studies that enhance the understanding of how youth settings work, how they affect youth development, and how they can be improved; and when, how, and under what conditions research evidence is used in policy and practices that affect youth, and how its use can be improved.
