This project represents an opportunity to enter into a cooperative agreement for cultural resources outreach, education and training to further effective cultural resource management on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Project lands. Stewardship of historic and cultural resources can be achieved by educating students, Corps staff, and public and private landowners holding outgrant leases, easements or licenses on USACE lands. A cooperative agreement with an educational institution will provide educational benefits and awareness to college students, interns, volunteers, neighbors, frequent users, the general public and future stewards of the sites, and provide benefits to the community of which these USACE sites are a part. The program would provide job training, education, and early career development for college-level students in archaeology, anthropology, and natural / cultural resource management. Students will learn appropriate survey and monitoring methods, field techniques, archival research, regulations and policy, and the latest technology to document and analyze cultural sites and historic properties.

The SBDC program is the SBA's largest matching grant, funding a service delivery network to provide high quality business and economic development assistance to small businesses and nascent entrepreneurs in order to promote growth, expansion, innovation, increased productivity and management improvement. The SBDCs, in partnership with SBA's Office of Small Business Development Centers (OSBDC) and SBA District Offices, develop programs and provide business management and other services that enhance the economic development goals and objectives of SBA and their other respective state and local funding partners.

The Science of Organizations (SoO) program funds basic research that yields a scientific evidence base for improving the design and emergence, development and deployment, and management and ultimate effectiveness of organizations of all kinds. SoO funds research that advances our fundamental understanding of how organizations develop, form and operate. Successful SoO research proposals use scientific methods to develop and refine theories, to empirically test theories and frameworks, and to develop new measures and methods. Funded research is aimed at yielding generalizable insights that are of value to the business practitioner, policy-maker and research communities. SoO welcomes any and all rigorous, scientific approaches that illuminate aspects of organizations as systems of coordination, management and governance. 

The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy South Africa of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a training program in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State and The University of Arizona. Funding will be made available from the U.S. Embassy in Pretoria. The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) is an educational opportunity for potential women entrepreneurs that uses a facilitated Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) called DreamBuilder as the core training curriculum. AWE participants will engage in facilitated lessons on business management and network with like-minded entrepreneurs and mentors from their regions and the United States. Led by an in-person course facilitator, participants will learn how to create business plans, hire staff, and research the market for their product or service. Participants will gather in person to view each DreamBuilder session (ten in total) and/or to discuss the topic after each participant views the session online. Facilitators selected in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy or Consulate will lead the in-person discussions and serve as mentors for the participants. The implementing partner will also be expected to organize a pre-launch training program for facilitators throughout South Africa, to occur in Johannesburg. The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Pretoria seeks an implementing partner to establish and manage the training program and to design a follow-on engagement strategy for participants. The purpose of this initiative is to stimulate research in promoting caregiver health using self-management.

The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) is pleased to announce the availability of funds for the Refugee Microenterprise Development Project. ORR has supported microenterprise development projects since 1991 through the award of discretionary grants to a variety of public agencies, community economic development agencies, local mutual assistance associations, and voluntary agencies. The broad goals of this program are to: 1. Assist refugees in becoming economically self-sufficient by owning and managing a small business, 2. Provide seed money to refugee serving organizations to start and develop microenterprise program that will serve refugees at sustained and expanded levels, and 3. Help mainstream organizations develop the experience of serving refugee populations. In order to achieve these objectives, award recipients under this announcement will provide pre-business and post-business technical assistance as well as capital to refugee entrepreneurs.

This Request for Information (RFI) is a preliminary call for expressions of interest for management and implementation support in advancing the One Health approach to emerging and serious infectious diseases in Viet Nam, and to contribute in supporting Viet Nam's commitments to the Global Health Security Agenda. 

The Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program is authorized at 16 U.S.C. 1445c-1 and 16 U.S.C. 1445c to recognize outstanding achievement in master's and doctoral studies in oceanography, marine biology, maritime archaeology and all other science, engineering, social science and resource management disciplines involving ocean and coastal areas, and particularly encourages women and members of minority groups to apply. 

The purpose of this FOA is to solicit applications from foreign institutions in African countries to provide an Administrative Coordinating Center for the H3Africa Consortium.  H3Africa research projects employ state of the art genomics approaches to study genetic and environmental contributors to specific health condition(s) or disease(s) relevant to African populations. The H3Africa Administrative Coordinating Center will provide the organizational framework for the management, direction, and overall coordination of all common H3Africa activities (i.e. Consortium activities). 

Program supports two main types of research: (i) innovations in general-purpose methodology related to optimization, stochastic modeling, and decision and game theory; and (ii) research grounded in relevant applications that require the development of novel and customized analytical and computational methodologies. Both types of proposals must be motivated by an application area of interest to the program. Application areas of interest include supply chains and logistics; risk management; healthcare; environment; energy production and distribution; mechanism design and incentives; production planning, maintenance, and quality control; and national security

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites a High Impact Research and Research Infrastructure Cooperative Agreement application (UC4) from the Program Director/Principal Investigator (PD/PI) of the Data Coordinating Center (DCC) that has been involved in study design and coordination, and data and biosample acquisition and management, since the inception of The Environmental Determinants of Diabetes in the Young (TEDDY) consortium, an ongoing epidemiological study.

Grants will fund projects related to the Waitt Foundation mission of supporting sustainable fishing and marine protected areas (MPAs). This includes sub-themes of: Scientific Research - Includes natural science or social science projects. For example, collecting baseline data before coastal development or MPA establishment, or studying fishery effects of a natural (e.g. tsunami) or man-made (e.g. oil spill) disaster. Policy - Includes opportunistic projects around unique public policy windows, such as preparation of policy analysis and support of experts' efforts to inform decision makers on upcoming government actions. For example, a cost-benefit analysis of proposed fishing regulations, or travel expenses for a delegation of scientists to educate elected officials. Management - Includes enforcement and infrastructure support. For example, stop-gap funding to increase enforcement capacity in light of a sudden uptick in illegal dynamite fishing, or training personnel to enforce new regulations about to go into effect. Communications - Includes raising public awareness and engaging stakeholders, including advertising by a 501(c)3 group around a public policy moment. For example, a PR blitz (e.g. billboards or radio adds) to educate the public in advance of government action on an ocean conservation measure, or training local people to become citizen scientists or enforcement tipsters.

The MES program supports research on design, planning, and control of operations in manufacturing enterprises. Research is supported that is both grounded in an interesting and relevant application and requires the development of novel analytical and computational methodologies that may be of broader interest. Topics of interest include supply chain optimization and management; production planning and scheduling; monitoring and control of manufacturing processes; and maintenance and repair. Of particular interest are methods that incorporate increasingly rich enterprise process and product information and models, methods that address sustainability, and methods that incorporate characteristic uncertainty and risk.

The mission of SBA's Office of Innovation & Technology, which bears responsibility for administering the FAST Program, is to strengthen the technological competitiveness of small businesses across the country through coordination of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. The FAST program focuses on increasing the participation of small firms in the innovation and commercialization of high risk technologies, keeping the United States on the cutting edge of next generation research and development.

Organizational Change Management Expertise for Collections Enforcement Business Process Re-Engineering

The mission of the WBC Program is to act as the catalyst for providing in-depth, substantive, outcome-oriented business services to women entrepreneurs, both nascent and established businesses, a representative number of which are socially and economically disadvantaged. This mission is accomplished through the award of financial assistance to private, 501(c)- certified non-profit organizations to enable them to affect substantial economic impact in their communities, measured by outcomes such as successful business start-ups and capital infusion .

The USAID/Ghana Democracy Rights and Governance (DRG) and Economic Growth Offices' new cross sectoral governance project seeks to accelerate governance improvements and manage conflict in support of enhanced agricultural development in Ghana's Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions. The purpose of the activity is to increase the capacity of Ghana's decentralized agricultural structures at the regional and district levels, improve accountability and performance efficiency of these decentralized agricultural structures, build community consensus, and strengthen civil society's demand for better service delivery in agriculture in partnership with the private sector.

The project will empower citizens of the Guatemalan Western Highlands to identify and address their own development needs. Through a rigorous community-based development (CBD) approach, the project will strengthen the voices of underrepresented groups (including women, poor, indigenous, youth, and others) and actively engage community members as participants and leaders in the full cycle of design, management, and evaluation of development activities. The project will work to dismantle the social, cultural, and historical divides that have marginalized indigenous Mayans in the Western Highlands.

Together with University Advancement, the Office for the Advancement of Research & Scholarship (OARS) is rolling out an new crowdfunding platform called HawksNest. Through HawksNest, alumni, family, and friends of the university can directly support the research, scholarship, and service projects of Miami University students, faculty, and staff. This is how HawksNest works: * Any Miami University student, faculty, or staff member may complete an online application to have a project considered for funding. * An internal review team assesses applications and posts approved projects on HawksNest for a maximum of 45 days. * Potential donors visit the site to learn about and pledge funds to approved projects. * Once a funding goal has been met, the project can begin! * Project managers use the site to keep donors up-to-date with information on the project's progress.

The IMEE program supports fundamental, multidisciplinary research on the impact of hazards and disasters upon civil infrastructure and society. The program is focused upon research on the mitigation of, preparedness for, response to, and recovery from multi-hazard disasters. Community and societal resilience and sustainability are important topics within the research portfolio of IMEE. The program is deeply multidisciplinary, integrating multiple perspectives, methods and results from diverse areas in engineering, social and natural sciences, and computing. Among these are civil, mechanical, transportation and system engineering; sociology, cognitive science and psychology, economics, geography, political science and urban planning; geology, biology and meteorology; and applied computing. Methodological innovations that span multiple, diverse disciplines are strongly encouraged.
