The purpose of NIDILRR's Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects (DRRP) which are funded through the Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects and Centers Program, is to plan and conduct research, demonstration projects, training, and related activities, including international activities, to develop methods, procedures, and rehabilitation technology that maximize the full inclusion and integration into society, employment, independent living, family support, and economic and social self-sufficiency of individuals with disabilities, especially individuals with the most severe disabilities, and to improve the effectiveness of services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (Rehabilitation Act). Under this particular DRRP priority, applicants must propose a research project that is aimed at improving community living and participation outcomes of individuals with disabilities. In carrying out a research project under this program, a grantee must identify one or more hypotheses or research questions and, based on the hypotheses or research questions identified, perform an intensive, systematic study directed toward producing (1) new or full scientific knowledge, or (2) understanding of the subject or problem studied. Please note that this is the Funding Opportunity for field-initiated DRRP research projects in the community living and participation domain. NIDILRR plans to make two field-initiated DRRP awards in the community living and participation domain. NIDILRR's two field-initiated DRRP awards in the community living and participation domain may be (1) both research projects, (2) both development projects, or (3) a research project and a development project, depending on the ranking of applications provided by the peer review panel.

The Science of Science: Discovery, Communication, and Impact (SOS:DCI) program is designed to understand the scientific research enterprise and increase the public value of scientific activity. The program pursues this goal by supporting basic research in three fundamental areas: How to increase the rate of socially beneficial discovery; How to improve science communication outcomes; and How to expand the societal benefits of scientific activity. The SOS:DCI program, which builds upon the former SciSIP program, funds research that builds theoretical and empirical understandings of these three areas. With this goal in mind, proposals should: Develop data, models, indicators, and associated analytical tools that constitute and enable transformative advances rather than incremental change. Identify ethical challenges and mitigate potential risks to people and institutions. Provide credible metrics and rigorous assessments of their proposed project's impact. Include robust data management plans, preregistration plans where appropriate, and related commitments that increase the usability, validity, and reliability of scientific materials

The Minority Serving Institutions Partnership Program (MSIPP) is a vital program within the DOE/NNSA Management and Budget, Learning and Career Management which awards grants to Minority Serving Institutions (MSI) to prepare NNSA's next-generation technical workforce. MSIPP aligns investments in university capacity and workforce development with DOE/NNSA mission areas to develop the needed skills and talent for DOE/NNSA's enduring technical workforce and to enhance research and education at MSIs. The program's primary mission is to create and foster a sustainable STEM-pipeline that prepares a diverse workforce of world class talent through strategic partnerships between Minority Serving Institutions and the DOE/NNSA Enterprise. To execute this mission, MSIPP builds a network of NSE ready students through enrichment activities from K-20 to post-doctoral level. Through university-lab consortia partnerships students are exposed to cutting-edge research and activities in their relevant fields.

Our Graduate Research Grant Competition offers grant awards of $1,000 for students conducting autism research as a requirement in pursuit of a master's degree and $2,000 for students who are doctoral candidates or post-doctoral students. This competition is a one-step application and review process. The proposals are due in February annually. The RFP sets the specific due date. OAR announces its grant awards in May. International students and students outside the U.S. are eligible to apply. Since 2004, we have awarded 149 grants totaling over $269,970 to graduate students in the U.S. and abroad. We fund studies that will likely produce practical and clearly objective results that may aid parents, families, professionals, and people with autism to make more fully informed choices that will lead to healthier and happier lives. The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Preservation and Access is accepting applications for the Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections program. The purpose of this program is to help cultural institutions meet the complex challenge of preserving large and diverse holdings of humanities materials for future generations by supporting sustainable conservation measures that mitigate deterioration, prolong the useful life of collections, and support institutional resilience: the ability to anticipate and respond to disasters resulting from natural or human activity.

The Legal Assistance for Victims (LAV) Grant Program is intended to increase the availability of civil and criminal legal assistance needed to effectively aid adult and youth victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking who are seeking relief in legal matters relating to or arising out of that abuse or violence, at minimum or no cost to the victims. LAV Grant Program funds may not be used provide criminal defense services. Grant funds may be used to provide direct legal services to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking in matters related to or arising out of that abuse or violence. The objective of the LAV Grant Program is to develop innovative, collaborative projects that provide quality representation to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Preservation and Access is accepting applications for the National Digital Newspaper Program. The purpose of this program is to create a national digital resource of historically significant newspapers published between 1690 and 1963, from all the states and U.S. territories. This searchable database will be permanently maintained at the Library of Congress (LC) and will be freely accessible online.

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Office of Digital Humanities is accepting applications for the Institutes for Advanced Topics in the Digital Humanities program. The purpose of this program is to support national or regional (multistate) training programs for scholars, humanities professionals, and advanced graduate students to broaden and extend their knowledge of digital humanities. Through this program NEH seeks to increase the number of humanities scholars and practitioners using digital technology in their research and to broadly disseminate knowledge about advanced technology tools and methodologies relevant to the humanities.

The Mellon Emerging Faculty Leaders Award supports tenure-track faculty who have passed their midpoint review. The award is structured to free the time of junior faculty who have passed their midpoint tenure review-including those from underrepresented groups and others committed to eradicating disparities in their fields-so that they can both engage in and build support systems, networks, and affinity groups that make their fields and campuses more inclusive. Eligible applicants must have passed their third-year review or their institution's equivalent.

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH)'s Division of Preservation and Access is offering a cooperative agreement to evaluate current national infrastructure in conservation and make recommendations to strengthen preservation of cultural heritage for present and future generations. The recipient will: 1) plan and host a national convening to foster dialogue surrounding the current state, challenges, and future goals for the field of conservation and preservation, and 2) publish and disseminate a report establishing a national strategic vision for preservation and related resources for conservators, allied professionals, educators, professional organizations, thought leaders, and the general public. This program is aligned with "A More Perfect Union": NEH Special Initiative Advancing Civic Education and Commemorating the Nation's 250th Anniversary.

This program aims to extend the opportunity to participate in the digital transformation of humanistic inquiry to a greater number of humanities scholars. ACLS Digital Extension Grants support projects that have advanced beyond the start-up phase of development as they pursue one or more of the following activities: Developing new systems of making established digital resources available to broader audiences and/or scholars from diverse institutions Extending established digital projects and resources with content that adds diversity or interdisciplinary reach Fostering new team-based collaborations between scholars at all career stages. Projects that convene, train, and empower communities of humanities faculty and/or graduate students around established digital research projects, as well as projects that allow scholars from institutions with limited digital infrastructure to exploit digital resources or to participate in existing labs or working groups, are especially welcome Creating new forms and sites for scholarly engagement with the digital humanities. Projects that document and recognize participant engagement are strongly encouraged.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) is soliciting investigator-initiated research that will help expand and advance our understanding about what works to prevent violence that impacts children and youth, collectively referred to as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), including child abuse and neglect, teen dating violence, sexual violence, youth violence, youth/parent suicidal behavior, and exposure to adult intimate partner violence. This initiative is intended to support the evaluation of primary prevention programs, practices or policies that target universal or selected high-risk populations (i.e., populations that have one or more risk factors that place them at heightened risk for violence). Funds are available to conduct such studies focused on preventing child abuse and neglect and at least one other form of violence affecting children and youth, including teen dating violence, sexual violence, youth violence, and exposure to adult intimate partner violence.
