This notice announces the opportunity to apply for funding under the Ryan White HIV/AIDS (RWHAP) Program Part A Planning Council and Planning Body Technical Assistance (TA) Cooperative Agreement. The goal of this cooperative agreement is to provide comprehensive technical assistance to RWHAP Part A Planning Councils and Planning Bodies (Planning Councils/Bodies) to enable them to enhance their abilities to successfully meet legislative responsibilities. In an effort to meet goals and legislative responsibilities, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) will engage an organization with national reach to provide Planning Council- and transitional grant area (TGA) Planning Body-related technical assistance to recipients, jurisdictional leadership, and Planning Councils/Bodies support staff. Comprehensive site visits conducted by the HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) Division of Metropolitan HIV/AIDS Programs (DMHAP) for each of the 52 RWHAP Part A jurisdictions have identified a critical need for an ongoing, comprehensive technical assistance mechanism for Part A Planning Councils/Bodies. This technical assistance and support will enable them to enhance their abilities to successfully meet legislative requirements, strengthen their role in providing essential engagement of people with HIV, and increase the involvement of prevention and care and treatment providers in the RWHAP Part A planning process. The recipient of this cooperative agreement will offer a full range of technical assistance delivered through both in-person and virtual methods, including but not limited to creating and updating resource guidance tools.

Advanced Development and Validation of Emerging Molecular and Cellular Analysis Technol... - 0 views

  •
This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) solicits grant applications proposing exploratory research projects focused on further development and validation of emerging technologies offering novel capabilities for targeting, probing, or assessing molecular and cellular features of cancer biology for basic or clinical cancer research. This FOA solicits R33 applications where major feasibility gaps for the technology or methodology have been overcome, as demonstrated with supportive preliminary data, but still requires further development and rigorous validation to encourage adoption by the research community. Well-suited applications must offer the potential to accelerate and/or enhance research in the areas of cancer biology, early detection and screening, clinical diagnosis, treatment, control, epidemiology, and/or address issues associated with cancer health disparities. Technologies proposed for development may be intended to have widespread applicability but must be focused on improving molecular and/or cellular characterizations of cancer. Projects proposing application of existing technologies where the novelty resides in the biological or clinical target/question being pursued are not appropriate for this solicitation and will not be reviewed. This funding opportunity is part of a broader NCI-sponsored Innovative Molecular Analysis Technologies (IMAT) Program.

The End TB Strategy envisions a world free of tuberculosis (TB)-zero deaths, disease and suffering due to TB by 2035. This requires reducing the global TB incidence from >1250 cases per million people to <100 cases per million people within the next two decades. Each year, an estimated 10 million people develop TB disease, and an estimated 1.6 million TB people die from TB - the leading cause of death from any infectious disease. In 2017, 90% of all estimated new TB cases were adults (15 years of age or older), and 9% were persons living with HIV (PLHIV) with 72% living in Africa. Despite being preventable and treatable, large gaps in detection and treatment of TB cases remain; of the estimated 10 million new TB cases in 2017, only 6.4 million TB cases were officially reported.

The FY19 GWIRP Clinical Evaluation Award supports translation of validated GWI research, including qualified and replicated preclinical findings, to a Gulf War Veteran population. The Clinical Evaluation Award targets the Verification phase of the research pipeline as outlined in Section II.A.2. Statistically powered biomarker trials with the potential to validate use of biomarkers as clinical endpoints or proof-of-concept intervention trials (e.g., pilot, first in human, Phase I-IIa) are encouraged under this funding opportunity. While studies of treatments repurposed from other disorders sharing GWI symptomatology will be considered (with appropriate rationale), the FY19 GWIRP encourages studies that translate qualified results from the GWI research community.

COPIC Medical Foundation | Malpractice Insurance Companies | COPIC - 0 views

CMF works to improve health care outcomes through grant funding of: * Programs and initiatives that improve patient safety and quality of care through education and training of health care professionals or through systems changes and improvements; * Pilot programs that are designed to reduce medical errors; and * Development and implementation of checklists and other tools to improve disease management and transitions in care. The 2021 focus area is fragmentation across care settings. Breakdowns in care from a fragmented healthcare system can lead to readmissions, missed diagnoses, medication errors, delayed treatment, duplicative testing and procedures, and reduction in quality of care leading to general patient and provider dissatisfaction. Healthcare organizations must collaborate with each other and decide how to transfer information about patients they share. For example, health information technology can help providers share information about their patients. Organizations must devise strategies to "close the loop" and ensure that providers are aware of and address actionable patient information, such as test results.
