Based on funding availability, the proposed grant will support two annual international women's film festivals featuring films from Afghanistan and around the world. To qualify for submission, films should address women's lives and the issues confronting them, or their producers or directors should be women. The proposed festivals will provide talented Afghan professionals in cinema with an opportunity to engage with their international counterparts, celebrate and elevate women's roles and representation in film, mobilize public opinion regarding violations of women's rights, and provide a platform for young filmmakers to share their stories of Afghanistan with an international audience. The festivals will provide an artistic platform for the presentation of work by and about women and will include panel discussions with actors and directors, workshops, and cultural performances. PAS intends to issue an award for a period of 24 months (base period) with an option for one additional 12-month period (option period one).

The European Institutes for Advanced Study (EURIAS) Fellowship Programme is an international researcher mobility programme offering 10-month residencies in one of the 16 participating Institutes: Berlin, Bologna, Brussels, Budapest, Cambridge, Delmenhorst, Freiburg, Helsinki, Jerusalem, Lyon, Marseille, Paris, Uppsala, Vienna, Wassenaar, Zürich. The Institutes for Advanced Study support the focused, self-directed work of outstanding researchers. The fellows benefit from the finest intellectual and research conditions and from the stimulating environment of a multi-disciplinary and international community of first-rate scholars. EURIAS Fellowships are mainly offered in the fields of the humanities and social sciences but may also be granted to scholars in life and exact sciences, provided that their proposed research project does not require laboratory facilities and that it interfaces with humanities and social sciences. The diversity of the 16 participating IAS offers a wide range of possible research contexts in Europe for worldwide scholars. Applicants may select up to three IAS outside their country of nationality or residence as possible host institutions. The Programme welcomes applications worldwide from promising young scholars as well as from leading senior researchers. The EURIAS selection process has proven to be highly competitive. To match the Programme standards, applicants have to submit a solid and innovative research proposal, to demonstrate the ability to forge beyond disciplinary specialisation, to show an international commitment as well as quality publications in high-impact venues. For the 2014-2015 academic year, EURIAS offers 39 fellowships (20 junior and 19 senior positions).

The Summer Stipends Program at the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) provides $6,000 for individuals to spend two consecutive months of full-time advanced research and writing that is of value to scholars and general audiences in the humanities. Miami University is eligible to nominate two full-time faculty for the program. The Associate Provost and Dean of the Graduate School is the nominating official for Miami University. The two Miami nominees will be selected by the Associate Provost with input from an ad-hoc committee of humanities scholars who will review all internal submissions. The Boulware Foundation is a new family foundation focused on increasing economic opportunities for women and girls. The foundation's goal is to fund domestic and international programs aimed at empowering women economically and moving them toward financial freedom. To that end, the foundation awards grants of up to $10,000 in support of projects or programs aligned with the foundation's areas of interest, including financial literacy education, workforce and vocational skill development, microfinance, and entrepreneurship. In every case, women and girls must be the targeted beneficiary population. To be eligible, applicants must be tax exempt under section 501(c)()3 of the United States Internal Revenue Code.

The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad and the U.S. Consulate General in Lahore announces an open competition for a cooperative agreement to establish an Academic Partnership in Gender and Development Studies between a U.S. educational institution and the Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) in Lahore, Pakistan. Accredited U.S. four-year colleges and universities meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 USC 501(c)(3) may submit proposals to pursue institutional or departmental objectives in partnership with the Lahore College for Women University. Objectives detailed as priorities for this partnership include: collaborative research, curriculum development, long distance teaching via internet/DVC, professional development for faculty by US counterparts, abroad or locally, and faculty and student exchange. Faculty exchange programs ranging from a few weeks to a full semester, and shorter-term graduate student exchange programs, are preferred by the Lahore College for Women University. In addition, the university is interested in training and other assistance in developing multi-media awareness materials, conducting collaborative workshops, and leadership training for women.

The Industry/University Cooperative Research Centers (I/UCRC) program develops long-term partnerships among industry, academe, and government. The Centers are catalyzed by an investment from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and are primarily supported by industry Center members, with NSF taking a supporting role in the development and evolution of the Center. Each Center is established to conduct research that is of interest to both the industry members and the Center faculty. An I/UCRC contributes to the nation's research infrastructure base and enhances the intellectual capacity of the engineering and science workforce through the integration of research and education. As appropriate, an I/UCRC uses international collaborations to advance these goals within the global context.

The Global Health Research Innovation Center (GHRIC) is pleased to announce a call for proposals for faculty research grants. These grants are designed to foster the development of research initiatives and partnership projects in global health. Grants will be made to Miami faculty to undertake small-scale, collaborative pilot research projects in global health and/or travel (of Miami faculty or domestic/international collaborators) to cultivate research relationships through establishing institutional linkages and jointly developing or writing research proposals. The expectation is that at least one outcome of each project will be the submission of an external grant proposal. Proposed projects must involve at least two Miami faculty members from different departments. Budgets are expected to be between $4000-$8000. We expect to award at least 2 grants for the 2016-2017 academic year. If funded, additional funding of up to $1000 may be available to help support presentation of the proposed project at either the annual conference of the Consortium of Universities for Global Health or the Global Health and Innovation Conference (Unite for Sight).

The Women's International Study Center (WISC) is seeking applicants for residential fellowships at Acequia Madre House™ in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Acequia Madre House™ was designed, built and occupied by three generations of remarkable women of the same family: Eva Scott Muse Fenyes, Leonora Muse Curtin and Leonora Curtin Paloheimo. These three women were an active, creative presence in Santa Fe with demonstrated success in business, the arts and philanthropy, and notable for their own work as scholars of architecture, botany, ethnography and linguistics. Attracting sophisticated travelers from around the world, Santa Fe is famous for its art markets, music and museums. It also houses several prominent research and academic institutions. The region has beautiful scenery, year-round outdoor activities and a rich mix of American, Spanish Colonial and Native American history. The Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL, or the Department), announces the availability of approximately $5,000,000 total costs (subject to the availability of Federal funds) for one cooperative agreement to fund a technical assistance project in an identified country to economically empower women and girls. The objective of the project is to reduce the risk of child labor, forced labor, and other violations of labor rights for vulnerable women and girls within an identified supply chain. The project will aim to achieve the following outcomes: (1) improved economic participation by women and girls vulnerable to child labor, forced labor, and/or other violations of labor rights within a supply chain; and (2) improved business practices by private sector actors to protect against child labor, forced labor, and other violations of labor rights for vulnerable women and girls working within a supply chain.

The most recent survey by the Moroccan High Commission for Planning, published in 2011, found that 62.8 percent of women aged 18 to 65 had experienced physical, psychological, sexual, or economic violence within the prior 12 months. Further, 55 percent of women surveyed reported domestic violence and 13.5 per cent reported family violence. Less than 3 percent of women who had experienced domestic violence had reported it to the authorities. Both national and international civil society reports indicate that of women who do report abuse to authorities, many do not receive the assistance required by existing Moroccan law and procedure. This has been attributed to a lack of a clear legal framework specific to gender-based violence (GBV) - draft law 103-13 on combatting violence against women remains pending - as well as social stigma, and limited awareness and implementation of existing GBV protections and reforms. The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for projects that help combat gender-based violence in Morocco. DRL's objective for this program is to enhance the ability of Moroccan government and civil society stakeholders engaging on GBV to advance survivor-centered protections. All proposals should include efforts that bring together key stakeholders, including justice and security sector actors, to promote effectiveness and accountability in gender-based violence prevention and response. The Neuffer Fellowship is designed for affiliated or freelance women journalists with at least three years of professional experience in journalism working in print, broadcast, or digital media. All nationalities are welcome to apply but non-native English speakers must have excellent written and verbal English skills in order to fully participate in and benefit from the program. The Fellow will complete research and coursework at MIT's Center for International Studies and journalism internships at The Boston Globe and The New York Times. The flexible structure of the program will provide the fellow with opportunities to pursue academic research and hone her reporting skills. Past fellows have taken advantage of opportunities to publish work under their byline through various media outlets.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a cooperative agreement from qualified U.S. and Non-U.S. organizations to fund an activity entitled "Counter Gender-Based Violence Activity" Eligibility for this award is not restricted

The Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) announces an open competition for assistance award in Armenia. Organizations may submit grant proposals for programs that encourage probation development and corrections reform and rehabilitation programs for women. The activities under this award shall take place in Armenia. The announcement is for the solicitation of one award totaling up to $150,000. INL is seeking proposals with an implementation period of 6 months. A full proposal and budget should be developed for the implementation period of 6 months. Activities under this cooperative agreement must be implemented in their entirety by the primary recipient and/or sub-grantees that are explicitly listed and described in the proposal.

The Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), U.S. Department of Labor announces the availability of approximately $1.5 million total costs for one or more cooperative agreements to fund a project to integrate the issues of child labor alleviation and acceptable conditions of work into women's economic empowerment initiatives. The project intends to support service providers and policy makers when working with women entrepreneurs to ensure women-led enterprises can improve livelihoods responsibly without resorting to child labor or harmful labor practices. The project's outcomes include: Outcome 1: Increased understanding of child labor and acceptable conditions of work in the context of women's economic empowerment initiatives. Outcome 2: Increased availability of tools to integrate child labor awareness and acceptable conditions of work into women's economic empowerment initiatives. Outcome 3: Demonstrated effectiveness of tools in mitigating child labor and unacceptable conditions of work in women's economic empowerment initiatives. Outcome 4: Increased awareness and adoption of tools to integrate child labor awareness and acceptable conditions of work into women's economic empowerment initiatives by a broad range of stakeholders.The duration of the project will be a maximum of 4 years (48 months) from the effective date of the award.

The U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section - Small Grants Programs awards grants to U.S. and Nicaraguan individuals and non-profit and non-governmental organizations with legal status to support innovative projects focused on empowering Nicaraguans through educational and entrepreneurial opportunities including promoting a bi-lingual workforce and preventing gender based violence in Managua and Puerto Cabezas. The Small Grants Program cannot fund the following activities: projects supporting primarily partisan political or religious activities; international air travel unless essential to the goal of the project; humanitarian or charitable activities; for-profit, commercial or trade activities; fundraising campaign; scientific research; institutional development per se or support of an organization; activities that duplicate existing projects; construction; vehicles; salaries as the main purpose of the grant; and refreshments as the main element of the grant.

Fellowships area awarded to women from other countries who are pursuing full-time graduate or postdoctoral study in the United States. Both graduate and postgraduate studies at accredited U.S. institutions are supported. Fellowship amounts are as follows: $18,000 to recipients pursuing a master's/first professional degree, $20,000 for doctoral programs, and $30,000 for postdoctoral programs. Up to five fellowships for master's/first professional degrees will be renewable for a second year. To be eligible, applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the U.S. or possess a non-immigrant visa if residing in the U.S. Women who currently are or expect to become a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or dual citizen during the fellowship are not eligible. Applicants must also hold a completed academic degree (earned in the U.S. or abroad) equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree.

The purpose of the Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects and Centers Program is to plan and conduct research, demonstration projects, training, and related activities, including international activities; to develop methods, procedures, and rehabilitation technology that maximize the full inclusion and integration into society, employment, independent living, family support, and economic and social self-sufficiency of individuals with disabilities, especially individuals with the most severe disabilities; and to improve the effectiveness of services authorized under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (Rehabilitation Act).

The DePaul University Humanities Center (DHC) is inviting applications for Visiting Fellows for 2017-2018. Applications are due by Friday, January 27, 2017. All applicants must have a Ph.D., and research projects must be in the humanities. International applications will be considered. Fellowships may run from September 2017 to June 2018, or from January 2018 to June 2018. During their tenure, Visiting Fellows are required to make an intellectual contribution to the DePaul community and participate in the programming and activities of the DHC and the university. We are especially interested in applications that involve a project around the theme of "Fake," broadly construed. All applications regardless of topic will be considered, but preference will be given to applicants that draw connections between their proposed project and the 2017-18 DHC theme, "Fake." NB: The DHC will be hosting events that include, e.g., investigations of identity and performance, the legality of forged artwork, magicians and charlatans, shadows and shadow selves, fiction's relation to nonfiction, etc. We are interested, that is, in interdisciplinary, creative, innovative projects that take up the topic.
