The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to stimulate developmental research evaluating the effect of care planning on self-management of late effects of cancer therapy; adherence to medications, cancer screening, and health behavior guidelines; utilization of follow-up care; survivors' health and psychosocial outcomes.

Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance is requesting Letters of Intent for the 2017 Ann Schreiber Mentored Investigator Award. Through the program, the center will award grants of up to $120,000 over two years to promising laboratory and clinical scientists pursuing careers as independent investigators in ovarian cancer research. Funds are for direct costs only; institutional overhead and indirect costs will not be included in the award.

The foundation is currently accepting applications for its "A" Award. Through the program, a grant of up to $800,000 over four years will be awarded to an independent early-career researcher seeking to establish a career in pediatric oncology research who has demonstrated a future commitment to pediatric cancer investigation and has institutional support for his/her career development. The ideal applicant should have original research that is not currently being funded, with the goal of advancing knowledge that will lead to new treatments and cures for children with cancer.

This attracts interest in the development of novel antitumor drugs for improving the immune state of the tumor microenvironment. In particular, we look for compounds that target host cells contributing to the formation of the immunosuppressive environment and interfering with these functions.

The Client has advantages in cancer research. Through cooperation with the proposer, they aim at discovering a novel synthetic lethal factor(s) using proposer's technology platform and finally creating innovative next-generation molecularly targeted anti-cancer drugs. In addition to proposals on technology platform, this RFP also welcomes those on novel synthetic lethal factors discovered using the technology platform.

The Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund for Medical Research was established in 1937 for the purpose of supporting research into the causes and treatment of cancer. The fund has taken a broad approach to the study of cell growth and development, emphasizing the study of the basic biology and chemistry of the underlying processes. It has increasingly focused its resources on the funding of three-year postdoctoral fellowships, supporting fellows selected from among the best young scientists at what is often a critical stage in their careers.

The DeGregorio Family Foundation for Gastric and Esophageal Cancer seeks to promote and facilitate collaborative research on the pathogenesis, early diagnosis, and treatment of upper gastrointestinal malignancies. To that end, the foundation has issued a Request for Proposals for its ninth annual funding opportunity for gastroesophageal malignancies.
