The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate General in Kolkata (PAS Kolkata) seeks proposals for a project entitled "EcoCinema: A Greener World through Art." Under this project, a grantee will organize and implement a two-day film and arts festival in Kolkata followed by a tour in a minimum of three cities, focused on generating awareness on creating a sustainable environment in East India and promoting sustainable environmental practices. The selected grantee will initiate a competition for films (both short and long form) and artworks such as paintings, photographs and murals to be showcased during a two-day long film and arts festival entitled "EcoCinema: A Greener World through Art." Artworks should focus on the natural world, air quality, sustainability, recycling and green practices. Films and artwork will be exhibited in tandem at the American Center and other locations in Kolkata. Unconventional art exhibition spaces, such as universities, public parks, metro stations, are encouraged. Festival promotion should include both tradition and digital media. In 2017, the NEA hosted a one-day Documentary Sustainability Summit featuring filmmakers, producers, distributors, film festival representatives, funders, and other stakeholders to discuss the documentary filmmaking field. A State of the Field Report was subsequently published, which identified key issues and action items necessary to ensure the sustainability and future growth of the field.

Created in 1993, the foundation's Emergency Grants program provides grants of up to $2,500 to innovative visual and performing artists who have been presented with a sudden, unanticipated opportunity to present their work to the public, or who have incurred an unexpected or un-budgeted project expense prior to a committed exhibition or performance date.

The College Art Association is accepting Letters of Inquiry for book-length scholarly manuscripts under contract with a publisher in a range of areas, including the history of American art, visual studies, and related subjects. For the purposes of this grant program, "American art" is defined as art (circa 1500-1980) produced in what is now the geographic United States.

USArtists International supports performances by U.S. artists at important cultural festivals and arts marketplaces around the globe. Committed to the presence of U.S. based artists on world stages, USArtists International provides grants to ensembles and individual performers in dance, music and theatre invited to perform at significant international festivals and performing arts markets.

Through the program, grants of up to $300,000 will be awarded to support the planning and implementation of cultural projects designed to improve relationships between Muslim and non-Muslims across the country. Organizations funded to date represent significant diversity in terms of geography, population, discipline, and mission. Through systematic self-evaluations conducted by prior grantees, the program has observed that strong relationships are built most effectively when audiences are able to immerse themselves in experiential learning and directly interact, collaborate, or communicate with the creative community who design and lead project-related activities.

In accordance with Andy Warhol's will, the mission of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts is the advancement of the visual arts. To that end, the foundation manages an innovative and flexible grants program while also working to preserve Warhol's legacy through creative and responsible licensing policies and extensive scholarly research for ongoing catalogues raisonné projects. To date, the foundation has awarded more than $200 million in cash grants to over 1,000 arts organizations in 49 states and abroad and has donated 52,786 works of art to 322 institutions worldwide.

The annual fellowship is awarded to an artist of exceptional promise to pursue an independent project at Princeton. Hodder Fellows can be composers, choreographers, performance artists, visual artists, writers, or other kinds of artists or humanists who have "much more than ordinary intellectual and literary gifts" and are selected more "for promise than for performance."

The foundation's Emerging Artist Fellowship at the Santa Fe Art Institute was established in 2013 to provide an annual opportunity to an emerging visual artist age 25 or older who needs time and space to explore an idea or start a new project. Fellows will receive a one-month residency at the Santa Fe Art Institute that includes a well-appointed room with private bath, beautiful well-lit studio space, and a $500 travel stipend.

Fellowships will be awarded to artists whose achievements have been recognized as demonstrating extraordinary promise in any area of artistic practice and teaching. Applicants should be early-career poets, novelists, choreographers, playwrights, designers, performers, directors, filmmakers, composers, and performance artists who would find it beneficial to spend two years teaching and working in an artistically vibrant university community.

The purpose of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts is to foster innovative artistic expression and the creative process by supporting cultural organizations that, in turn, support artists and their work. Grants are provided to curatorial programs at museums, artists' organizations, and other cultural institutions to originate innovative and scholarly presentations of contemporary visual arts. Projects may include exhibitions, catalogues, and other relevant activities. Proposals that highlight women, artists of color, and under-represented practitioners are encouraged. The Foundation has designated one of its grants, The Wynn Kramarsky Freedom of Artistic Expression Award, to recognize the work of organizations with a deep-seated commitment to defending the First Amendment rights of artists. As part of that mission, the foundation's Conservation Grants Program provides support for the professional practice of art conservation. Grants are awarded to projects that create and disseminate specialized knowledge, including archival projects, development and dissemination of scholarly databases, documentation projects, exhibitions and publications, with a focus on art conservation, scholarly publications, and technical and scientific studies. Grants are also awarded for activities that permit conservators and conservation scientists to share their expertise with both professional colleagues and a broad audience through international exchanges, professional meetings, conferences, symposia, consultations, the presentation of research, exhibitions that include a prominent focus on materials and techniques, and other professional events.

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, is pleased to announce an open competition for eligible organizations to submit applications to carry out a program to document and/or strengthen Afghanistan's traditional forms of cultural expression. For the purposes of this NOFO, traditional forms of cultural expression include but are not limited to musical composition and performance, dance and performing arts, poetry and oral traditions, traditional celebrations, and knowledge exchange from master to student in any form of cultural expression. Proposals with an educational component such as internship activities, educational outreach, capacity building, or training of students and young professionals are encouraged. Proposals must include a well-defined plan to raise public awareness of Afghan heritage, especially among youth, and a sustainability plan. Commercial activities, including the sale of products or tickets to performances, are not permitted.

The Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University is accepting applications for its 2019-2020 Fellowship Program Through the program, stipends of up to $77,500 for one year with additional funds for project expenses will be awarded to individuals working in the creative arts, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and mathematics to pursue projects within their fields. In addition, some support for relocation expenses is provided where relevant. In addition to the stipend, fellows receive office or studio space and access to libraries and other resources of Harvard University during the fellowship year, which runs from early September 2019 through May 31, 2020. Visual, film, and video artists may apply for either one or two semesters. In the event that they come for one semester, the stipend is $38,750. Radcliffe Fellows are expected to devote themselves full time to the work outlined in their proposal. Since this is a residential fellowship, fellows are expected to reside in the Boston area during the fellowship period and to have their primary office at the institute to participate fully in the life of the community. The deadline for individual applications in the creative arts, humanities, and social sciences is September 13, 2018. For applications in the natural sciences and mathematics, the deadline is October 4, 2018.

An organization may submit only one application through one of the following FY 2019 categories: Art Works or Challenge America. If an organization applies to the Challenge America category, it may not submit another application to the Art Works category. The Arts Endowment's support of a project may start on or after June 1, 2019. Generally, a period of performance of up to two years is allowed. Program Description Art Works is the National Endowment for the Arts' principal grants program. Through project-based funding, we support public engagement with, and access to, various forms of excellent art across the nation, the creation of art that meets the highest standards of excellence, learning in the arts at all stages of life, and the integration of the arts into the fabric of community life. Projects may be large or small, existing or new, and may take place in any part of the nation's 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories.

Founded in 1995, the Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation is committed to providing grants and programmatic support for initiatives that provide access to art for a broad audience, art in the service of social justice, art in the service of social change and discourse, and underrecognized artistic practice. Through this art and social justice mission, the foundation aims to foster dialogue, encourage diversity, promote education, and nurture and empower communities.

The purpose of this Program Solicitation is to select an organization(s) (Cooperator) to undertake the Research Labs program. In brief, the Cooperator will: · Plan and implement a research program, including an exemplar study, in one of the NEA's three proposed topic areas. · The research program must include these components: 1. Development of an evidence-based research agenda; 2. Planning and implementation of a keystone (i.e., an exemplar) study, or a series of studies; 3. Production of at least one research report for each research study; 4. Fulfilling ad hoc analyses or information requests concerning the Research Lab research agenda; 5. Dissemination of findings, research products, tools or services, data, and communications to project stakeholders and to the public; and 6. Preparation and delivery of a briefing to the NEA on needs for continued work in the proposed research topic area, with recommendations both on how other research organizations working in the proposed area could be better supported by the agency and how the Research Lab can be sustained in the future.

The program supports the publication of book-length scholarly manuscripts in the history of American art, visual studies, and related subjects that have been accepted by a publisher on their merits but cannot be published in the most desirable form without a subsidy. For this grant program, "American art" is defined as art created in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
