The Caxton Club, an organization devoted to "the literary study and promotion of the arts pertaining to the production of books," offers annual grants for expenses of up to $2,500 (each) for book-related projects. The grant will cover expenses, such as travel, materials, and tuition fees. In the 2018-2019 academic year, Caxton Club grants were offered to Midwestern graduate students with projects in the following areas: bibliography, book arts, history of the book, literary studies, pring culture studies, and zines.

Established in 1998 through the generosity of the family of painter Richard Diebenkorn - both an alumnus of and longtime faculty member at SFAI - the fellowship provides an opportunity for artists to teach at the institute and have sufficient time and financial support to sustain their practice while doing so in the renowned studio environment of Headlands Center for the Arts. Through its semester-long structure, which includes a residency with studio space at Headlands, the fellowship not only offers each participating artist an invaluable opportunity to further their own practice, it also leaves a deep, lasting impression on SFAI students.

The English Speaking Union of the United States each year sponsors a travel grant for study or research providing a stipend of up to $2,000. This competition is open to qualified under-graduate and post-graduate students, faculty, and others involved in academic pursuits that are in accord with the goal of the English Speaking Union of promoting education and understanding among the English speaking peoples of the world. The grant is designed to assist worthy individuals who are active in the fields of Business, the Humanities, Science and Engineering, Liberal, Fine or Applied Arts and who wish to study or conduct research either in the United States or in one of the countries of the British Commonwealth.

Lighthouse Works, a nonprofit arts organization, is devoted to encouraging the development of artists through a fellowship program and to the enrichment of the year-round cultural and economic vitality of Fishers Island, New York. To that end, the organization is accepting applications for its fellowship program. Fellowships are six weeks in length and occur year-round. Fellows are provided with housing, food, studio space, a $250 travel allowance and a stipend of $1,500 to help defray the cost of shipping materials, the purchase of art supplies, and other expenses incurred in making artwork in a remote location. The organization's belief is that no artist should have to spend money to accept the opportunity of a fellowship. In addition, fellows have the chance (though they are not required) to teach workshops, mentor students, or invite them for studio visits.

Applicants for the funds may be students or faculty. The project, program, or entrepreneurial idea must be created by, led by or benefit women. Grants are awarded in values of $2500 to $20,000. While we prefer the base grant to be $5,000, we are considering a limited number of $2500 which will be required to show high impact. These applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The grants must be submitted online via the link below and must include a 2-minute video. Applicants will be narrowed to a pool of 10-15 finalists by our M.I.A.M.I. WOMEN Grants Committee. This committee will review applications; contact applicants if additional information is required, and present the finalists to the M.I.A.M.I. WOMEN Steering Committee and Development Staff. Grant deadline for this year is Feb. 9, 2018. These finalists will perform in a fast-pitch style Hawk Tank event on April 11, 2018. Finalists will be offered fast-pitch training courtesy of the Farmers School of Business - school of Entrepreneurship, and will receive coaching and support. They will then pitch their idea in 5 minutes or less on April 11, 2018 at the event. Giving Circle members are the voters who will determine winners. Absentee voters will be given the option to vote online. Winners will be announced that night or the next day at the Symposium, to be determined.

The ABOG fellowship supports socially engaged projects that promote art as a catalyst for social change; projects that feature artists in leadership roles; dialogue-based projects that emphasize active and sustainable partnerships with communities; and projects in which artists engage community members as equal partners on locally relevant issues, or globally relevant issues as they apply to the local context. Projects in which co-creation with non-artists is part of the process are highly encouraged.

A Community Thrives is a new approach to social impact programs that was developed through a collaboration across the entire USA TODAY NETWORK. While most initiatives designate funds or give support to great charities, we're going to instead fund and support great ideas. The volunteering begins with you pitching your creative solutions to solving our communities' most critical needs.

The award recipient must come from an economically disadvantaged household, have attended a public school, participated in extracurricular programs including (an/or in addition to) programs supported by the Americans for the Arts (i.e., demonstrate a long term participation in the study of, creation in and/or performance in one or more art forms, including dance, music theatre, literary, visual/media arts), excelled academically, and  formally declared the intent to study and apply economics in their pursuit of higher education and professional career.  This includes the direct study of economics for policy purposes, to applications in the private and public sectors.  The scholarship is open to both recent high school graduates and current college undergraduates who are majoring in economics and/or the arts.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston seeks applicants for five Undergraduate Internships and three Graduate Fellowships for the Summer 2014 term. The available opportunities are in the Curatorial, Education, and Legal Administration Departments. Interns and Fellows are provided with a stipend. Applications are due March 3, 2014 at 6pm. The Summer 2014 term runs from June 2 to August 8, 2014 and takes place in Houston, Texas.

The Surdna Foundation is accepting proposals through its Artists Engaging in Social Change funding area for one- or two-year support for extraordinary artist-driven projects. Grants of up to $150,000 over two years will be awarded in support of compelling artists projects developed in response to specific challenges in their communities, as well as projects by artists whose work over the long term has increased social engagement without necessarily being explicitly defined as "activist."  All artistic disciplines will be considered, including cross-disciplinary work. The funds are designated for one-time project support and cannot support organizations' ongoing programs, operations, capital, or endowments, although up to 15 percent administrative overhead is allowed. To be eligible, projects must be artist-led and demonstrate a deep commitment to a community, as demonstrated by the process through which the work is developed and the theme or themes on which it is focused. Applicants can be at any stage of their careers but must have a track record of developed work that demonstrates their capacity to complete the proposed project and to manage the level of funds requested. Both 501(c)(3) organizations and individual artists are eligible to apply, but artists and collectives that are not incorporated as 501(c)(3)s must apply under a fiscal sponsor. Fellowships will be awarded to artists whose achievements have been recognized as demonstrating extraordinary promise in any area of artistic practice and teaching. Applicants should be early-career poets, novelists, choreographers, playwrights, designers, performers, directors, filmmakers, composers, and performance artists who would find it beneficial to spend two years teaching and working in an artistically vibrant university community.

Grants are awarded for expenses of up to $2,500 (each) for book-related projects to be completed during academic year 2019 - 2020. Grants totaling up to $10,000 will be awarded. Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in a Midwestern university graduate program during the academic year 2019 - 2020 with a project in one of the following areas:   Bibliography Book arts History of the book Library studies Print culture studies Zines Library workers and other professionals seeking additional training in the above fields are encouraged to apply. Applicants are required to submit samples of work in support the grant application. Book arts applicants should submit either a mock up dummy of the project, if available, or previous work. Bibliography and history applicants may include samples of their previous written work.

Established in 2016, the fellowship is a research-focused residency program for individuals whose research will benefit from access to London's institutions, libraries, practices, professionals, and other unique resources. The program is based at Wimbledon House, which was designed by Lord Richard Rogers in the late 1960s. Each of the six fellows receives a three-and-a-half-month residency at Wimbledon House, as well as roundtrip travel expenses, a $10,000 cash stipend, and unique access to London's resources. Lodging includes a private bedroom with a desk and a private bathroom.

These fellowships are intended to support an academic year of research and/or writing by early career scholars for a project that will make a substantial and original contribution to the understanding of art and its history. The ultimate goal of the project should be a major piece of scholarly work by the applicant. ACLS does not fund creative work (e.g., novels or films), textbooks, straightforward translation, or pedagogical projects.

Each fellowship includes a monthly stipend, housing, studio space, a supplies allowance, and travel reimbursement to and from SAR. The fellowships are intended to provide artists with the time needed to explore new avenues of creativity, grapple with new ideas that can advance their work, and strengthen their existing talents.

The Children's Theatre Foundation of America's grantmaking focus is on theatre for children and youth, the utilization of drama or theatre in education for children grades K-12, and development opportunities for theatre artists working in the area of children's theatre in the United States. The Foundation's Aurand Harris Grants and Fellowship Fund supports small and mid-sized nonprofit theatres that are engaged in a new initiative for a particular company or a new original play for children and youth. Professional theatre artists working in theatre for young audiences may also apply for support in the development of their artistic excellence. Grants range up to $2,000 and may be used for project expenses, equipment, or travel. The application deadline is March 5, 2018. The Laura Bassi Scholarship was established by Editing Press in 2018 with the aim of providing editorial assistance to postgraduates and junior academics whose research focuses on neglected topics of study, broadly construed, within their disciplines.
