Attached is a document from Faculty Focus on teaching with technology. These documents are collections of short pieces on the particular topic … and Faculty Focus has LOADS of topics. You can find that list of topics at http://www.facultyfocus.com/free-reports/. All reports are free, but in order to download them, you have to register (i.e., enter your e-mail address and create a password). Once you register, you will get regular announcements from Faculty Focus when new reports come out. Sometimes the e-mails are about reports you've already been notified of, but most of the time it's new stuff. Well, now that you know about this great resource, I will assume that those of you who are interested will register and get your own announcements. I, therefore, will not be cluttering up your Inbox with any more of these things … though you can expect notices when other kinds of things come out that might be of interest to you. Theresa M. After reading Newman's post earlier I downloaded this free program and it works great. I can now personally record and edit my lectures.

This article talks about Google Body, a 3-D model of human anatomy that is available free online through Google. It's pretty neat. Certainly an inexpensive way for students to explore anatomy at their own pace.

I just finished reviewing these maps and they are wonderful and would be an excellent resource for adult and acute care nurse practitioners. Some would work for undergraduate students, however they are at a high level.

Pretty good presentation of how to use Google Apps for Education. While, this is focused on a K-12 audience, it could certainly be relevant to nurse educators. Journaling, surveys, E-portfolios can all be done with Google applications for free!

'CNA' stands for 'Certified Nursing Assistant'. It refers to the nursing helper who assists the doctors and registered nurses during various operations as well as for patient care in nursing homes and hospitals. Though being a CNA is not a glorious job, it can definitely be a good option for a substantial career in allied health care field.
