"The Project
The Vann Molyvann Project aims to call attention to one of the most important collections of modern architecture in the developing world; to rigorously document it; and to inspire a new generation of architects--American and Cambodian--to create a contemporary architecture that responds to the demands of context, climate and culture.
In October of 2010, a collection of drawings, models and photographs prepared by a team of Cambodian and American architects and students was presented at the French Cultural Centre in Phnom Penh. The materials were then displayed at the Phnom Penh International Airport in the Summer of 2011. We are now in the process of arranging for the exhibition to travel abroad. "
How cool is this!
For those unfamiliar with the term, a learning style is a way in which an individual approaches learning. Many people understand material much better when it is presented in one format, for example a lab experiment, than when it is presented in another, like an audio presentation. Determining how you best learn and using materials that cater to this style can be a great way to make school and the entire process of acquiring new information easier and much more intuitive.
Jigsaw is a cooperative learning strategy that enables each student of a "home" group to specialize in one aspect of a learning unit. Students meet with members from other groups who are assigned the same aspect, and after mastering the material, return to the "home" group and teach the material to their group members.
