Esther's Bouquet - Chapter 5 - Daffodil « Hot Dogs and Marmalade - 0 views

  •
I love this: "We don't have to wait for spring to see the hope of the daffodil. He gives it to us daily - a golden scepter extended to us of hope, grace, love, mercy and acceptance." Such a great reminder! Thanks for sharing your blog with us at The High Calling. We pray that we're an encouragement to you and can be a safe place for you to share your thoughts and posts. :)

Taking the Next Step « Julie Sunne - 0 views

You're right-God asks us to be faithful and take the next step. I've often said that our walk of faith is a "flashlight, not floodlight" existence. Many days, I'd love to see God's floodlight instead of His flashlight-but He's God and I'm not. :) Thanks for joining our High Calling blog network. I look forward to reading more of your posts and getting to know you better.

5 ways to leverage sensitivity, a strength & trap for the creative | Rich Kirkpatrick's... - 1 views

  •
Rich, This is great advice and very timely for me. Sometimes I think it's harder to live as a creative person, who feels more deeply and is more sensitive. But the joys DO outweigh the struggles--esp. the joy of creating something meaningful out of pain. Thanks for this post, and for joining the High Calling network! show more show less

I love your description of flying and the way you found God in the thunderstorm. I found God this week in the way our community rallied to meet needs of the less fortunate. I love how God shows us in so many different ways-and usually just when we least expect it! BTW, we're very thankful that you've joined our HC network, and look forward to getting to know you better.

My husband and I have been involved in ministry (in some context) for most of our adult lives, and I so agree that there must be BOTH being and doing in effective ministry. I've enjoyed reading through your thought-provoking (and challenging) posts! Thanks for joining the High Calling network, and let us as editors know if we can be of any help or encouragement.

Laura, your blog, photos, and writing are all lovely, and I wanted to tell you that we at The High Calling are really thrilled you've joined the network. I'm a mom of boys with an extroverted hubby (and I'm an introvert), so I can relate to the struggles you so honestly depict. I pray that as you honestly with others--and God--how you're struggling, you'll find community, encouragement, and peace. God bless you today and every day!

Dawn, thanks for sharing such a story-of scandalous grace, the kind the world won't ever "get" without knowing our Jesus. We're really glad you've joined our High Calling community. Let us as editors know if we can serve you in any way. (I'm sharing this post via our HC Twitter account, by the way. It deserves to be read widely!)

Abundant Fruit & Olive Shoots: Raising Readers - Part II - 0 views

I love the fact that you're raising readers and encouraging others to do the same. Books have been such a constant joy in my life, ever since I begged my mom to teach me when I was four. Now both my boys love to read, and I take great joy in that. :) Welcome to The High Calling network. I think you'll find a lot of kindred spirits--and book-lovers--in our community.

I love your cover letter! :) And I'm glad you joined the High Calling Blogs network. We have all denominations and ages of writers, including young Episopalians...and MOST of them have a sense of humor. A few are big gamers, too. So I think you'll find some kindred spirits. Welcome!
