An online BMI calculator... change it to Kilograms and centimetres and it will work it out for you and whether you are overweight or not. BE CAREFUL this site is American i think so the set figures may vary from what you are studying at the final calculations

"The Body Mass Index (BMI) is a calculation of the ratio between your weight and your height. The formula is used to determine the amount of body fat you carry. The formula is your weight divided by your height squared (BMI = kg/m2)."

Only 2 questions in this one about the Coronal Plane (Viv hasn't worked out how to watch the animation BUT you can use your notes from the Tissues/organs Powerpoint or your text book.

I couldn't work the animation but I using the slides on notes from our class powerpoint "Tissues/organs/systems"

Follow our Blog posting which has the Powerpoint (link in brown on the page) from the revision session on 7th & 8th. You can use a quiz to stimulate your thinking before you start a topic... So a lot of these quizzes relate to glands (that were mentioned in your Tissues presentation.) But the focus will come up soon in your Endocrine system session. So let the quiz stimulate your brain just like hormones stimulate your body to take action!

"How to draw the mind map: Write the topic in a circle in the centre of a piece of paper (landscape position). For each of the main points, draw arms out from the circle. Write the key words of the main point along each or at the end. Draw smaller arms out from the main arms and write the sub-points that relate to each main point. Continue with smaller arms if you have other points or examples for the sub-points."

There are samples of test questions, copies of presentations that you can print and Voicethreads with demonstrations and audio explanations of working through formula that you can play and progress through gradually at your own pace.

For those who tried to join the Tuesday evening (my humble apologies as a fierce storm prevented me from logging online... the 2nd voicethread on this page delivers my whole lesson. I would appreciate feedback if you watch these voicethreads... are they of use working through at your own pace? Quicker or slower, skip bits or replay it is up to you.
