How could we possibly use these in Education? Hopefully, with a bit of help from some iPod savvy educational enthusiasts we will find out. So please feel free to add to the discussion.

Welcome to the blog! I post as often as I am able, and you will see posts on iPods and iPads in school, Educational Leadership and Professional Learning. I am a teacher from just north of Calgary, Canada. My joy (aside from my wonderful family) is creating opportunities for students and teachers to learn in engaging and creative ways. My views are my own, and are not the views of my employer. Enjoy the discusion!

Measuring the iPad's Potential for Education -- THE Journal - 1 views

Both of my sons - 8th grader and senior -were not too impressed with the ipad - similar to the students referenced in the article. Yes the apps are fun - the touch screen way cool - but my sons said that for classroom purposes it is very limited at this point in time. For schools without the abundance of technology, the ipad would be a great tool for internet usage and discovery. I am wondering why it would be preferable to a netbook? Lisa
