My correct blog name is rmichellewalton.wordpress.com I am now seeing how important technology is to education. This has truly been a teachable moment for me. As I become more and more familiar with technology, I will begin to gradually incorporate it into my classes. Twitter for Academia has opened my eyes to another way to facilitate the educational process. This is a great article. Here's the url. http://academhack.outsidethetext.com/home/2008/twitter-for-academia/

One of my favorite website ideas. It's a little too neo-luddite for me in it's marketing, but I applaud the struggle to give power back to the people (even if they can't put the toothpaste back in the tube).

This one doesn't have anything to do with class, but if you are introducing your class to technology it is a great place to start. My granddaughter's junior high tech class uses it. I was introduced to it when one of our faculty used it to make me a graduation gift. He put my thesis into the web site, printed it out and framed it. I loved the gift.

Wikipedia - Project Information Literacy - 1 views

7 out of 10 college students start their research with Wikipedia according to Project InfoLit's interviews. There's a disconnect between the handouts and faculty advice in my previous post and what students actually do. How can we use some of the tech tools discussed here to reconnect?
