Using such websites, teachers will be able to help in holding online and real-time discussions with their students, help them in their projects and assignments, guide their learning, do back-channeling, and synchronously moderate discussion threads and many more. I found this plug-in for Moodle that allows real-time sharing of multi-media such as chats, your screen/desktop, whiteboards, presentations, and audio/video. Appears to be an option for incorporating synchronous activities and communication.
