If you like Ne Yo Drake, Jay-Z, and Kanye West, then you have to listen to the featured artist of the week with Devon Michael.
The best part about Devon Michael is his originality. You get more than one speed of music from this album. It travels from great driving music, to the dance floor, to the street, and to the bedroom. It is impossible to get bored with this album, because there's is no one constant. It makes the listener wonder what the next song will bring. If you enjoy R&B and Hip Hop, you get the best of both worlds and it's impossible to just listen to once, in fact, you get hooked.

Tangent Transmission is not the typical Los Angeles rock band. In fact, they give a whole new definition to the meaning of rock. Perhaps it should be called tangent rock, because they do not intersect with any other sound except with their own, taking audiences to new heights by giving them an experience they have ever heard before. \n\nListen to an exclusive full length 4-track music preview from their soon-to-be-released debut EP right here: http://thegreatunknowns.podomatic.com/entry/2010-07-09T08_12_27-07_00\n\nRead an exclusive one-on-one interview with lead singer, pianist, and guitarist Sam Sobo: \nhttp://greatunknownsmusicexpose.blogspot.com/2010/07/tangent-transmission-redefining-rock.html \n
Led by the evocative Amélie Laflamme, the music of Montreal-based The Blue Seeds released their 2009 debut LP with an ensemble of beautiful, yet gothic-like lyrics sung by Amélie with a wide musical range of guitar melodies. Amélie's angelic and somber voice can be compared to Mazzy Star, Jewel, and Niko Case. http://greatunknownspresents.com
This weeks artist spotlight is IO Echo. An indie artist from Los Angeles. One of their popular songs today is, DOORWAY from the Palm Pre Sprint commerical. Check it out!

The LA torch of ska and reggae hasn't been past on from Hepcat - they're still there (the two singers on the right). But the Lions can definately work up a JA groove... Spotted via Amoeba's Twitter account...
