When you're trying to figure out how to use a new piece of software or a new web application, searching YouTube for how-to videos often returns some useful stuff. But for teachers there is a better place to turn to and that place is Russell Stannard's Teacher Training Videos. Russell Stannard's videos are screencasts in which he walks viewers through the process of using software and web applications from beginning to end. The videos are categorized by the purpose of the application  such as blogging, podcasting resources, online quizzes, file sharing, IWB, etc. There are also categories for EFL and MFL.

The Literature Network is a repository of all things literary - author bios, articles, quotations and book texts. 

Good site for parents about cyberbullying, gaming and social networking.

A UK site that teaches kids how they leave a digital footprint on the web. 

2Learn's compilation of St. Patrick's Day sites. 

If you haven't seen Digital Citizen:  Using Technology Appropriately, you may want to (actually, you must) check it out. I could see this being very useful ---I especially like the Nine Elements-Themes of Digital Citizenship ----The resources section is quite comprehensive as well!!

Black Gold Regional Division teacher, Ray McCubbing, sent this alternative to Glogster.  "Mash your ideas and media together with friends in a dynamic whiteboard wiki. Using photos, videos, and other web content you can instantly create brainstorms, presentations, scrapbooks, and enjoy an interactive chat with more than 50 friends."

a nice site intended for younger students to use to create digital stories. Little Bird Tales walks users through each step of creating a multimedia story. Users can upload images, draw images, or record from their webcams. Stories can be written with text or narrated by students using microphones connected to their computers. (Richard Byrne)
