The Kean University Library online database that houses the publications of non-profit organizations which focus on New Jersey public policy issues. This collection allows users to access these documents from one centralized, easy to use location. The texts of the documents are fully searchable and are catalogued with subject headings similarly to a book in a library. This collection allows users to access a variety of publications pertaining to economic growth, education, social justice, health care, and criminal justice. This fully searchable database is compiled of files derived from a variety of non-profit organizations from across the state of New Jersey in an effort to provide information on policy reform and solutions for researchers and the public as a whole to make use of.

Ideas for making the shift to digital texts. The Internet is the best source of content that's ever been. The challenge for schools and districts and parents and famillies and municipalities is getting that information into the hands of our students. It made sense to hand them a book when the experts were far away and the libraries were scarce and only had a few copies of everything. But it doesn't have to be that way now. In fact, in many ways, it's not.

Website from the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation to showcase some primary source materials about Abraham Lincoln online. The materials on Under His Hat are arranged into eight sections about Lincoln's life. You can click on materials to make them larger. Lesson plan suggestions are included and some of the documents are also accompanied by audio and video recordings.

School librarian Joyce Valenza writes: "An article in the December 30 Washington Post turned me on to an amazing creative effort developed by a couple of teachers in Hawaii. History for Music Lovers on YouTube is song parody and remix at its most useful. The portal was launched by clever and talented Amy Burvall, of the Le Jardin Academy in Kailua, and Herb Mahelona, who used to work with her, at St. Andrew's Priory in Honolulu. I can see using these as models for creative student research projects. The clever remixing here also seems a cool way of examining transformativeness (repurposing and adding value) as it relates to fair use."...
