This website is the digital edition of the print magazine, Working Mother. The major categories covered on the site appear to be general information that may be valuable for a mother, whether working outside of the home or not.

The intended audience for this site is mainly women who are mothers, although many of the tips offered in the articles on the site, and therefore in the print magazine, can be useful to all women. Tips in articles like Career Advice, Workplace, Home-Based Businesses, and Food and Nutrition can be beneficial to all women, and, well, likely for men also. All the content on the site is available to the public. There are some services exclusive to members, however, that membership is free.

Because this site is providing general tips on life, whether finance, business, home, family, and work life, much of this content will come from life experiences of other people. Once way credibility can be measured in this instance is by the readers comments to articles, saying how useful the tips are, as well as how large the subscriber base is, which can show how many people tune into the content.
I was also able to find content by contributing authors at the local library. For example, Carol Evans who wrote a recent article for the site titled "Hillary Clinton's Private Side" has also written books like "Mom-in-chief: How Wisdom from the Workplace Can save your Family from Chaos".

Working Mother's parent company, Bonnier Corporation, also publishes magazines like Popular Science, slightly increasing the credibility of the magazine. Underneath the surface, working mother also does surveys, and uses that information to backup it's points. And even though the magazine makes most of it's money from advertisers, I did not find any ads on the site, other than the advertising of the magazine itself. The magazine is likely to stand for women's, especially mothers rights, and this can be a type of their social agenda.

There's a lot of benefit for businesses, especially the large companies, to support women and their needs. For example, if a company ends up on the list of top businesses / companies for women, certainly readers may take notice and choose to support that company.

This organization researches the dynamic work, family, and community culture. It is known for it's extensive research, and their motto is "Our purpose is to create research to live by."

The intended audience for this organization policymakers and thought leaders, including governors and presidents, but also agents of change in business, early childhood and youth development, education and community engagement. This can be determined from the mission statement of the organization. Some of the research content is accessible to the general public; other content is available for purchase. No prior knowledge is assumed for these reports; the topic is introduced and content is written in an easy to understand manner.

This organization and its website is credible, because many other businesses and organizations, including popular news sources like New York Times, NPR, and CNN.com. It appears that the research that is conducted is very thorough. One such case is an ongoing National Study of the Changing Workforce, which has been going on since 1992. Some topics covered in such research include "the effective workplace", "the impact of the current economy on employers and their policies", and "workplace and career flexibility".
I was also able to find numerous resources, including books, at my local Algonquin Public Library, written by staff members of the organizations, Ellen Galinsky being one of them.
The organization has dozens of funders, including the IBM and JPMorgan Chase, both of which contributed $15,000 or more. These funds are used for general operating support, and I doubt that these businesses have any influence on how the organization operates; the research conducted by Families and Work Institute is general, and could be beneficial to any business looking to improve workforce policies. From my findings on the organizations website, it appears neutral to the research it conducts, and that it does not have any agendas of it's own.

A general observation I learned is that large businesses would be especially interested in the research findings that Families and Work Institute conducts. From employment trends to employee morale, this knowledge could bring about positive changes to a company's policies.
