National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) is a national organization that develops voluntary certification for accomplished teaching.  Look at the Five Core Propositions, which underly all accomplished teaching, and the standards in your specific area. You can use them to reflect on your own teaching. You may also want to apply for National Board Certification, which is a high recognition across the country .
