Is Obama Too Cool? - 0 views

  •
"Here's the buzzed-about anti-Obama political ad in which Barack Obama's oppressive coolness is exposed. There's a lot about this strategy I don't understand. Is being cool a problem when you're a president? Does this ad make Obama's fans like him any less? Could Mitt Romney ever pull off Al Green?"

Memo From Mexico: In Mexico Presidential Race, a Bruising Battle Online - 1 views

  •
"But a law passed in 2007 that was intended to keep campaigning orderly and clean - it bans the Mexican equivalent of political action committees, limits spending, regulates language in advertisements and tightens the official campaign period to just 89 days - has been undercut by the unpredictable and uncontrollable Web."

"Welcome to Obamaville" is Rick Santorum's "Hunger Games" (Video) | Washington Times Co... - 5 views

  •
I can't believe his campaign actually produced this. AND the video we saw is only PART of a series titled "Obamaville" that will be available on his website. He is certifiably crazy. And his campaign manager must be on crack.

Media Effects: Fox News Viewers Know Less Than People Who Don't Watch Any News - 3 views

  •
Fox News viewers are less informed than people who don't watch any news, according to a new poll from Fairleigh Dickinson University. The poll surveyed New Jersey residents about the uprisings in Egypt and the Middle East, and where they get their news sources.
  •
Not surprising, but still funny to see presented with statistical evidence.

Is Obama wagging the Dog? - 15 views

I'm not quite sure what exactly you're referring to, but I don't see how our "wagging the dog" metaphor applies to President Obama. He's desperately trying to quell the Iran hype and has actually been criticized by GOP leaders for not agreeing to take military action against Iran. Instead, he has pledged to pursue economic sanctions and diplomatic efforts. Here's a recent quote from him: "If some of these folks think that it's time to launch a war, they should say so, and they should explain to the American people exactly why they would do that and what the consequences would be."

In France, halal meat drama enters election campaign - 1 views

  •
Sarkozy "called Saturday for labels on all meat describing how the animals were slaughtered. A recent poll said halal meat was the No. 1 worry of the French people, he told reporters while explaining his shift."
  •
The French election seems almost as absurd as the U.S. one!

This may not be a political campaign, but Invisible Children has created an ingenious advocacy campaign. My Facebook newsfeed is dominated by KONY 2012 today. Take a look. Here's the actual website: http://s3.amazonaws.com/kony2012/kony-4.html

At 21:45, the video actually starts talking about how the campaign to find Joseph Kony will work. It's global, interactive, and inspiring.
