In remembrance of David Pecaut, the launch of the Pecaut Centre for Social Enterprise was announced on Dec 13. The Centre will be a tenant at the MaRS Centre in Toronto. 

MaRS  is expected to announce the creation of a new Pecaut Centre for Social Enterprise - in honour of the late David Pecaut. Allyson Hewitt, MaRS Director of Social Entrepreneurship said "the new centre would leverage off her organization's current activities, using the expertise of groups like Boston Consulting to develop social impact metrics."

David Pecaut, the businessman and civic leader passed away December 14. The article highlights many of Pecault's accomplishments. On December 15, a group of 100 young civic champions will gather for a day-long Emerging Leaders Network conference at the Medical and Related Sciences (MaRS) facility on College Street. A 150 participants of the Emerging Leaders Network, an offshoot of the Toronto City Summit Alliance, gathered at the MaRS Centre for a long-scheduled session, many talked about how David Pecaut's dream of collective leadership in the city could be the best possible tribute to the civic leader who touched so many with his projects and initiatives.
