Vincent Cheung and Wenfei Yu, MaRS clients and University of Toronto students, took home $25,000 for their business Shape Collage, which placed first in the 12th annual IBK Capital-Ivey Business Plan Competition on March 26 & 27 at Ivey Business School.

MaRS cleantech client, NIMTech, is granted SDTC funding for their current project with GreenField Ethanol. This project looks at plant optimization to increase ethanol yields using their SonicGauge™ non-invasive measurement sensors in collaboration with ProSensus' multivariate statistical platform for batch manufacturing control.

On September 1st, 2011, Canadian Innovation Exchange (CIX) kicked-off their national search for Canada's Top 20 hottest innovative technology start-ups.Canadian startups have until October 14th to submit their applications to the CIX Top 20. The competition will take place on December 1st at the MaRS Centre.
