After watching this vdeo and reading http://edutraining.googleapps.com/Training-Home/module-1/chapter-3/4-1 I realized that managing these groups prior to the school year starting will be an important task to put on the administrators' lists. Groups will be used widely throughout our district and I am sure it will be used by you.

It is possible to block gadgets in Sites. This may be useful as students start making their own sites.

For those of us who are trying to "sell" change (more specifically Google Apps)to our administrators and staff -this is a good overview of how it can be used for education.
