It's obvious from comments all over Social Media there are a lot of folks disappointed by this but many of the discussions have degenerated into name calling and accusations of greed towards Adobe.  There's also a LOT of misinformation about what the Cloud is and is not.

(Some) complaints .. result from a lack of information about what, exactly, this "Creative Cloud" stuff means to users.

With WeVideo, you simply upload your video clips and photos, create your storylines, and edit them in the cloud. Oh, that "cloud thing", it means the delivery of computing as a service rather than a product. For you that means there's no software to download. All video story creation takes place in the browser on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.

The problem...is that either way you look at it, the subscription model is expensive...and that is the reason why Adobe has been asking customers their opinion about the Creative Cloud pricing.

Adobe Premiere Pro product manager Al Mooney talks Rich Harrington about the advantages of Adobe Premiere Pro and Creative Cloud.  Claims updates will be easier to roll out under CC but updates were always delivered online to your local computer so not sure how CC will actually differ.
