Technology has helped businesses in lots of ways in this case, Facebook launched a tool for nonprofits to raise money. The company is partnering with 37 organizations in order to try the new option, which enables users to set up pages where they can share videos, pictures and more about their organization. These features come with normal Facebook pages, so the special parts are where they can collect money towards a goal, and donations in general. People can now also donate on certain posts where the nonprofit puts a button to make donations easier. When this feature is enabled nonprofits and donors who support a cause(s) will change completely, especially since Facebook is a page where social movements and certain posts gain quite a lot of attention. Facebook currently has over a billion users, having this feature means that thousands of people will now be able to donate instantly, only needing to press a button to do so. Socially and ethically this feature is a big pro for Facebook and the world in general, when donating is this easy people will support more nonprofits, removing the hassle of going to different webpages or going in person donations will increase. People who are helped by these organizations are going to see more benefits since nonprofits can now raise money faster. Despite the fact that these are for social causes it also raises some concerns, Facebook is known to be a place where posts can cause social pressure on people. We have all seen the "Like and share this post if ________", it is very common, and a great way for pages to make themselves popular. A similar outcome could be placed when presented with these new features, and people might start saying "Donate to this post if you feel sorry for _____", making people succumb under social pressure, which might be even stronger if many of your friends and relatives donated. It is also important to note that fake pages might be setup and many people might donate money where it ends up in

The article talks about Apple going their own way when creating accessories for their devices, such as iPhone, iPad, iPod and the line of Macintosh and Macbooks. It points out how Google, Samsung, Microsoft, Dell, HTC, Sony, and pretty much all other brand that isn't Apple has agreed to operate under the same guidelines for USB and charging ports, specially when talking about cell phones, where most of them use the mini USB port. Many thought that Apple would start a shift from their popular lightning cable to USB type-C, when the latest version of the Macbook line only used a headphone jack and a USB type-C port, this same port is used for charging, video, and all other accessories one might need. However this theory was dismissed when the latest accessories from Apple such as the keyboards, mouses and trackpad, all of which charge using the lightning cable.

The two clear stakeholders here are customers, Apple and not Apple and Apple itself, but there is a third party affected here, and that is the environment. Customers are hugely affected by this decision since it would be much easier to have one same cable for everything, regardless of your device brand, this way you would be able to have devices from different places but carry only one charger around. Despite its usefulness to users there are two clear reasons as to why Apple refuses to change the cable style.

The first reason is the Apple MO, where they use a format that isn't ordinary, they are always the only ones that can supply this format. The amount of money derived from these cables is huge, especially since they are pretty much the only relevant suppliers they have absolutely no problem applying their absurd high prices on a cable that you will most likely change 2 or 3 times before the end of the year. The environment is quite affected by this, Apple, which is a major device supplier around the world, in computer, smartphone and other areas uses a totally different cable, this creates a huge different portion of devices for which you need different cables. Additionally since there is no competition it can be said that they aren't really keen on making amazing quality products, which means that they are very easy to break. It can be generalized that people with iPhones tend to have more money than others, which means that many other products usually use the lightning adapters as a priority, this makes people want to stay on Apple products, since changing would be quite costly.

The only solution for this problem is to make a global rule for all smartphones, where they are all obligated to use a certain technology for their ports. This would certainly benefit not only customers but the environment as well, however it can be said that it isn't very good business for Apple.
