Another great idea to help #1 flip your classroom or #2 just help personalize instruction, or #3 work with small groups and individuals through Screenchomp and your Ipad.

Mirror your iPad onto your Mac and also screen record your iPad to share later. Great to explain to students how to use their iPad through a recording. This is a form of augmentation in the SAMR model. I do not think this qualifies as a web 2.0 tool.

Digital Roadtrip * Unique method for accessing student work on iPads? - 0 views

  • Well would you believe the same thing works without a cable and it doesn’t have to be the Mac/PC that manages the devices. It means that any teacher can access all the students files on a device that has been “Saved to iTunes”.  You can even pick up the work, mark it and hand it back to the iPad whilst the iPad is still being used by the kids (unbeknown to the user!).

I'll definitely need to try this in the upcoming year to see student work.
  • You can do this with a class set of iPads by attaching each device once to the teacher’s computer and checking the “sync over wifi” option and “enable”. Don’t sync -just unplug each device.
  • Provided you are on the same network, you can then open and close files on the class set from your computer.

iPad Technology in Speech Therapy: Overview - 0 views

  •
This blog shares an overview of using an iPad in speech therapy, and gives links to other resources to look at to get more ideas about using technology with speech therapy. I went through speech therapy in elementary school and middle school, and believe it could have been much more fun and effective if technology was implemented better. However, those resources did not exist in 2000. This is a good start though for learning more about the iPad technology for this field.

Math Games | Motion Math - Play with numbers! - 2 views

Math games that are able to be downloaded as an app for ipads, and ipods, allows students to play these games on the go.
  •
Great site for games and apps which is perfect for lower level math classes, or students who need extra practice on their basic skills.
  •
Definitely know that several of my students could still benefit from the basic skills these games would provide.

"Last year we presented "10 of the best apps for education," which highlighted some of the best apps for iPhones and iPods. However, with new upgrades in touch technology, HD and 3D features, and the debut of the iPad, we've come up with a new list of the best Apple-based education apps for 2012."

10 awesome iPad / iPod apps - 0 views

This blog post in History Tech shares several great tools for the iPad and iPod that educators could use. The most interesting tools I feel would be helpful for a Social Studies Teacher would be the US Historical Documents as well as the World Fact Book. My favorite Web 2.0 tool on this list which I have used is the My Congress application where you can learn more about those who represent you in the United States Congress. This tool would be great for government classes! All of these resources appear to be very helpful for educators.

iPad app that easily allows you to make story telling videos in minutes! Students can explain concepts, tell stories or answer answer questions while being fun and creative. This falls under redefinition in the SAMR model and is a Digital Story Telling tool.

Google Swiffy - 1 views

  •
"Swiffy converts Flash SWF files to HTML5, allowing you to reuse Flash content on devices without a Flash player (such as iPhones and iPads). Swiffy currently supports a subset of SWF 8 and ActionScript 2.0, and the output works in all Webkit browsers such as Chrome and Mobile Safari. If possible, exporting your Flash animation as a SWF 5 file might give better results. "
