Google Apps for Education Integration in the Classroom - 0 views

  • If you create wikis for each student as an ePortfolio and showcase of their work, your students can now include and share all of their Google Docs work. They can easily create new Google Documents from within Wikispaces or move existing Google Documents into and out of their wiki. It’s so easy for students to organize and present their artifacts, add reflections, and put context around their work in your class for parent conferences.

Android Apps You Will Love - 0 views

This blog lists some helpful applications for the Android phone. I posted about apps earlier which was more centered for iPhones, so I found this to be interesting. I do not have an Android, but I know many people who do. The list includes apps for record keeping, storage, graphing, measurements, flash card building, and more. There was even the mention of Wolfram Alpha which we learned more about in our most recent class. This blog can be very helpful for educators and students that have the Android.

Math games that are able to be downloaded as an app for ipads, and ipods, allows students to play these games on the go.
  •
Great site for games and apps which is perfect for lower level math classes, or students who need extra practice on their basic skills.
  •
Definitely know that several of my students could still benefit from the basic skills these games would provide.

"If you've ever wanted to paste "Pop Up Video"-style commentary bubbles over your favorite YouTube clip, Popcorn Maker's drag-and-drop UI couldn't be simpler. But you can also add more sophisticated interactivity like Google Maps, live Twitter feeds, and Wikipedia articles just as easily. "

"eduTecherTV is a show that focuses on educational technology and web-based tools that can make learning an even more fun and dynamic experience" This is a youtube channel that I stumbleupon (no, not the app) that seems very relavant to our LTMS 600 course. The video show seems to show new and useful ways to use web 2.0 tools to create a dynamic learning experience for students. Cool stuff!

10 awesome iPad / iPod apps - 0 views

This blog post in History Tech shares several great tools for the iPad and iPod that educators could use. The most interesting tools I feel would be helpful for a Social Studies Teacher would be the US Historical Documents as well as the World Fact Book. My favorite Web 2.0 tool on this list which I have used is the My Congress application where you can learn more about those who represent you in the United States Congress. This tool would be great for government classes! All of these resources appear to be very helpful for educators.
