Ok! Finally, a posting directly related to the requested topic - Open Courseware. A few other undergraduate students and I used this platform for various intructional activities. Moodle is an Open Source Course Management System (CMS), also known as a Learning Management System (LMS) or a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). It is popular among educators as a tool for creating online dynamic web sites for their students. Take a look at their YouTube video - however the musiccal background lacks cadence variation. Take a tour of Moodle now.

Omeka is a free, flexible, and open source web-publishing platform for the display of library, museum, archives, and scholarly collections & exhibitions. Its "five-minute setup" makes launching an online exhibition as easy as launching a blog. Omeka is designed with non-IT specialists in mind, allowing users to focus on content and interpretation rather than programming. It brings Web 2.0 technologies and approaches to academic and cultural websites to foster user interaction and participation. It makes top-shelf design easy with a simple and flexible templating system. Its robust open-source developer and user communities underwrite Omeka's stability and sustainability. (Taken from Omeka's About Page - http://omeka.org/about/) Omeka is a project of the Center for History and New Media (http://chnm.gmu.edu/)
