    Wikibrains is a neat website designed to help you brainstorm in a web format. When you brainstorm on Wikibrains you're also performing a basic Internet search at the same time. To create a brainstorm web on Wikibrains start by entering one word or phrase. When you enter a word you will be prompted to add more words by completing the phrase, "Makes me think off..." Each new word or phrase that you enter will be added to your web. As you enter words on the right side of the screen you will see links to search results about each word.

    The Metropolitan Museum of Art hosts free online art history texts. It has expanded to 390 volumes. All of the books can be read online or downloaded as PDFs (warning, some of them are massive files). You can search through the catalog of books by thematic category, format, and publication type. And, of course, you can search through the books by title, author, and keyword.

Digital Public Library of America - 1 views

    The Digital Public Library of America is a huge collection of digitized artifacts and exhibits from museums and libraries across the United States. Through the DPLA you can find documents, books, images, audio recordings, and video clips. The DPLA is a new resource and only some of the artifacts are arranged into exhibits at this point. You can look for artifacts by location, time, or keyword search. Clicking on an artifact will open information about where it is housed and when it was created.

    Google added a new Google Scholar option that can help students organize their research. You can now create libraries of articles that you find through Google Scholar. To create a Google Scholar Library sign into your Google account before searching on Scholar.Google.com then just click "save" when you find an article you want save for future reference. Your saved items appear in your Google Scholar Library where you can apply labels to them and sort them.
