"Collaborating for Learning will focus on the many ways faculty, students and disciplines collaborate to produce the meaningful learning we strive to foster in our students. The conference will live up to its name, and provide opportunity for learning together in ways that allow us to enhance our practice, grow our research on how students learn, and build our community. It is a collaborative event where faculty, graduate students, post doctoral students, librarians, student services professionals and students are invited to discuss their insights, experiences and related research. Some of the themes for consideration include collaboration inside the classroom, outside the classroom, collaboration among the disciplines and collaboration in inquiry. "

The Symposium will occur over three days (April 7-9, 2013) and include a combination of workshops, plenaries, panel presentations, concurrent and poster sessions, and roundtable discussions. Ben Wildavsky, author of The Great Brain Race, will be the plenary speaker. A number of presidents/rectors of international universities will participate in panel and follow-up breakout discussions on current and future higher education issues in their home institutions and nations and meet with Symposium participants.

The goal of the Chair Academy conference is to provide programs that specifi cally address the administrative and academic needs of post-secondary leaders, develop the skills required for leading and managing effectively, and maximize the opportunity for  conference participants to interact with each other.  This years conference theme is sustainability through leadership

"This year's theme is "Making IT Mainstream: Everybody's doing IT." With ubiquitous use of smart-phones, tablets and laptops by students and faculty, the days of speaking of educational technology in future or fringe terms are long past. It is now mainstream so conversations at this year's TLt will focus on the mainstream integration of learning technologies at both the level of the institution and individual instructor; what is working and what is not, and how all of this is will continue to effect higher education."

The conference theme is "Evidence-Based Teaching and Learning".  The conference offers a dynamic program whereby participants may attend presentations formatted as 100-minute workshops, concurrent 60-minute sessions or 40-minute presentations, 20-minute discussions, traditional plenary addresses, and a poster session, across four days.  Presentations are selected through a blind peer-review process.  Participants are given the opportunity to exchange ideas, build a repertoire of take-home skills that can be put to use immediately, as well as network with colleagues.

"In keeping with the EDC Bylaw Aims (3.2), the Conference aims to: facilitate networking and communication between future, new and seasoned educational developers; profile developments (scholarly and otherwise) in the field; afford professional development opportunities to experienced, new and potential educational developers; and provide a forum to exchange ideas, issues and concerns emerging in the field."

The NISOD Conference, now in its 35th year, has been the largest conference focusing on community colleges for the past six years. The ET4Online Symposium offers you an opportunity to study best practices, understand applications, discover new technologies, and connect to others who share a love for and belief in the promise of educational technology. In 2012 the symposium developed a new mission statement designed to emphasize the innovation and invention that is the focus of the conference: A conference devoted to the emerging and innovative uses of technology designed to improve teaching and learning online. The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (CTLS) will host the 6th annual "The SoTL Commons" conference in Savannah, Georgia. The conference brings together people engaging in SoTL and anyone wanting to improve student learning outcomes in higher education today. The conference epitomizes that college teaching is intellectual work that is enhanced both by disciplinary scholarship and the scholarship on teaching the disciplines (SoTL). The SoTL Commons Conference is a catalyst for learning, conversations and collaborations about SoTL as a key, evidence-based way to improve student learning.

This conference, to be held in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on October 24-27, 2012, will contribute to enhancing teaching and learning by creating a context for conversation and exchange between teaching and learning scholars from a range of disciplines, institutions and countries.  You will be provided with the opportunity to develop the tools necessary to integrate classroom research and classrooms practices in order to make teaching more evidence-informed.
