Has anyone seen this? Interesting, leveled books using F+P, DRA etc, running records, teacher has the ability to assign books to the class and manage some data. They also have books available for the Ipad. Is it something we should look in to?
I used it in Newton with students on IEPS for reading....I found it particularly helpful for fluency as it models the reading for kids. The books are also pretty high interest as far as online readers go. The price is also not awful considering what other like programs go for.
Huge list of free Online math games for 2nd grade, 3rd grade and 4th grade kids. Includes: addition, place value, rounding numbers, comparing numbers, times tables etc.
For $258 we could get 21 issues of National Geographic Explorer for the ipad (for each of our 20 ipads in the smith cart) - with 7 K-1 issues, 7 2-3 issues and 7 4-6 issues (also can be used for higher readers in 2-3). Much more cost effective then ordering paper copies, and a great way to make digital literature available in all K-5 classrooms.
App is very interactive and connections to grade level science content occur often.

Looks good, kids would really love it. I would be willing to help pay the costs with some of my budget. Could use the content to address the ELA common core science standards.
Nice list Mark...I wanted to try the Storylines app at morning meeting but it limits the ipad passing to 9 people. Guess I could do two. I'll let you know how it goes.
I got Storypatch. It looks pretty good and offers a lot of options for the kids to make stories. I am going to try it out with a few students and see how it goes.
