elf driving cars are the technology of the future. Google has been the first to really develop the technology, and their prototypes are already hitting the streets for impressive demonstrations. But they face unique challenges when it comes to accident prevention, challenges that have to be addressed before they are accepted as consumer-ready.

Self-driving cars are closer to becoming a reality, as Google announces testing to be done with prototypes around Mountain View, California. Safety drivers will be aboard in case there are any problems that require the vehicle to be driven manually.

Google generated a lot of attention during the week when it gave the world a glimpse of the future, as only it can, this time with a new version of the company's long-gestating self-driving car.

"What's better than driving down the street in your beaten-up old banger of a car, seeing a flasher, newer, more powerful vehicle drive past and deciding "Hmmmm, I want that", before chasing it down and taking it for your own?"

Western car companies have extensive since popular fuel-sipping diesels over plug-in electrical automobiles, but that's all about to modify with new EV-focused applications from two of Germany's greatest manufacturers:

If anyone has so far had a big day at the CES 2015 conference, it is ASUS. While LG showed off their Flex 2, and NVIDIA unveiled the Tigra X1 and their auto-piloting car products, ASUS has shown off a full five new products: the ZenFone 2, ZenFone Zoom, and three Transformer Books.
