The Standards-based Measurement of Proficiency (STAMP), a criterion-referenced, Web-based assessment tool, measures students' language proficiency at levels ranging from Novice-low to Intermediate-mid. Online Mandarin class offered in Santa Barbara, CA "Now, in Santa Barbara, 45 students from five local schools have begun taking a high-tech class in Mandarin this semester.
