    Argument For:
    If the punishment is the same as adults for the offenders that are old enough for the same punishment that adults get by showing how we won't let them off easy just because they are juveniles may stop other from committing any crime that might get adult consequences.


    Argument Against:
    That although the offender has committed a crime that is as serious as one an adult would commit they are still kids and just like all kids are, they have lots of potential. From the stories read about the kids who committed the crimes they have had a pretty tragic or hard life. Instead of throwing them in jail where they will be surrounded in even more negative energy send them somewhere that will help them either instead of the punishment or after it depending on how serious the crime.
