Learning in Hand Podcast Episode #24: Project Based Learning demonstrates how iPad and iPod touch can can play a role in the the planning, research/investigation, and presentation of projects. iPads in Primary Education Since Apple decided to make a push into the education market with the iPad 2 and its built in AV tools, it appears (in my humble opinion) that the PC it is no longer the cutting edge technology that it once was. My blogs aim to investigate the use of this handheld technology in primary education, in particular Spring Cottage Primary School's 'iPad journey' and look at some of the apps that can be used across the curriculum to engage, motivate and inspire children's learning in the classroom.

So many 1:1 schools around the world have found Student Response Network to be a fabulous addition to their wireless netbooks and notebooks, but there have also been many calls from schools that invested in the more affordable Apple iPod Touch as an interactive connected device for their students to use. We're happy to announce development has been finalized and that a new iPod Touch and iPhone app is available from Apple's AppStore. Student Response Network will now run with these excellent handheld devices, working in conjunction with the teacher's Windows-based SRN Server module.  Here's a sneak peek at the iPod Touch Client for SRN in action.

For example, students in the clip use handheld gaming systems to play word games. Several educators explain the many benefits to approaching teaching in this manner, such as helping students use technology in a fun way that stimulates the brain and enhances the learning experience.
