Ambition continues to suffer a longstanding, old-world, negative reputation. It brings up images of someone who's willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead, even if it means sacrificing friends, family and colleagues. Today, for many, ambition is synonymous with mistrust, closely aligned with such international corporate leaders who mismanaged their ambition and destroyed their credibility with the general public and shareholders alike. LOS ANGELES | January 27, 2012 49-year old actress Demi Moore, mother of 3 daughters from former husband Bruce Willis, suffered convulsions after smoking an undisclosed substance, according to an emergency 911 recorded call from last Monday in which she was described as being "barely semi-conscious." The recording was released by Los Angeles fire officials and captures the few minutes it took paramedics to arrive as friends surrounded the actress who had collapsed. In the recording, an unidentified female is asked by the emergency operator "is she breathing normal?" The female responded and stated "No, not so normal. More kind of shaking, convulsing, burning up." When the operator asked if Moore had ingested or smoked anything, the female replied: "She smoked something. It's not marijuana but it is similar to incense," according to a BBC News report, although the complete reply was redacted on the advice of the city attorney's office citing federal medical privacy rules. "She's been having some issues lately with some other stuff," said the female. Asked by the operator if this had happened before, the female voice said: "There's been some stuff recently that we're all just finding out." Apparently, as the call was about to end, Moore began to improve when a man got on the telephone and told the operator that Demi Moore had calmed down and began speaking. Demi Moore's publicist had previously declared that Moore was suffering from exhaustion post her divorce from Ashton Kutcher, 16 years her junior at 33, last November.

How We Got Started Like most good stories, Dallas Food Nerd started around a table of wonderful food. On Valentine's weekend in 2011, two social mediaites (Elysa and Rory) were invited to go on a food tour of five fabulous Dallas dining spots, hosted by a major car brand and local restaurants. The couple spent the day restaurant hopping with several other food bloggers, indulging in chocolates and souffles. credentials on their virtual resumes, they felt like a food blog was definitely in order. What better way to share their love of food and drinks with others on social media? In that sugar coma filled afternoon, they purchased the Dallas Food Nerd website domain, created a logo and began promoting the new brand among their friends and the local food blogger community. Sharing Our Passion For Food With Others While Elysa and Rory founded the blog back in 2011, they quickly grew the group by adding a few friends and acquaintances who also shared a passion of food-related storytelling. You might even know someone like this yourself… those people whose cameras "eat first"! Our group of writers is now about 20 people, mostly living in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. (We'll share more on the expansion later.) As a community of people who share a love for food and storytelling, we review new restaurants and menus, test out kitchen gadgets, write product reviews. We tell our stories by writing blog posts, Tweets, Facebook posts, Instagram posts/stories, and lately, Instagram Reels, too.
