If I was REALLY a rookie and didn't know ANYTHING about a SmartBoard, I'd want to know how it works and how to use it.. ie. where the tools are, which buttons to push etc. If I was teaching about the SmartBoard, I'd start with that, then move to some of my favourite internet links, then to the actual "how to's" of how to do things. I'd build in some "play time" too. In my experience, the most valuable time has been when other teachers get to experiment on their own.
