Identify the issue Intellectual Property Rights - Piracy Describe the possible solutions Solutions that are harsh to the point of shutting down the website that hosts these download links to pirated music, videos, and other intellectual property, etc. Or censoring the pirated files on the website to be inaccessible. However, this isn't a feasible solution since it would cause massive uproar for the users who use the sites on a regular basis, which in this case may be millions of people. Policing IT malls, as well as formulating and enforcing strict laws with hard punishments for violators.

  •
Advantages: The advantage of using an electronic textbook is that you're not wasting tones of paper and inks that it been stamp or written on the textbook. This would be already a good sign of eco-friendly. The etextbook also give the option that another textbook couldn't do by adding music and videos to it. The idea of carrying an electronic device that is not so heavy like the thick books would relief you already. Disadvantages: The trouble of the etextbooks is that the prices of the textbooks dosent reduce extensively enough for the students. Another Issue is that student can't sell their textbooks anymore to others when they are not using anymore. To get these types of etextbooks you need to spend an amount of $500 iPad which is very expensive for some people.

BRUSSLES can't block users from downloading illegally because that would breach the EU rules. SABAM asked the court in Belgian to force scarlet to install a device to prevent users from downloading copyrighted work. Scarlet then had to install the device. The EU made a statement that that internet providers should have to install a filtering system. The ruling of that made the BEUC (consumer organization) get authorities thinking of a fairer way to provide legal downloads. Monique Goyens said that there is no point in trying to catch individual people for file sharing because there are so many it would be impossible to stop. The App Store is some kind of a database for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad created by apple that allows users to browse, download and install app on their devices. Applications in an app store can vary in cost, from free downloads to quite costly ones, depending on who developed the application and its purpose. Software Apps, E-books that are sold through the app store are pirated. This software is basically electronic books, similar to real life books, where its contents are stored online. This Japanese copyright infringement is done through software that is uploaded through the internet that can be downloaded for a price. However, the payment is delivered to the offender, not the original person who owns the contents' rights. These pirated apps are Chinese -based language apps which plays a role in delaying the notice of the copyright infringement. 5. If possible, describe a solution to the concern (issue). Illegal distribution of copyrighted property should be banned. However, the massive infringe of the law is common in China. There should be more strict policy and laws in national level to reduce the number of these issues, such as measurement and specified steps of installing and removing application to satisfy companies wor

Define: Artificial intelligence- the branch of computer science that deal with writing computer programs that can solve problems creatively; "workers in AI hope to imitate or duplicate intelligence in computers and robots" Turing test- The Turing test is a proposal for a test of a machine's ability to demonstrate intelligence. It proceeds as follows: a human judge engages in a natural language conversation with one human and one machine, each of which tries to appear human. All participants are placed in isolated locations. Why is a Jeopardy-playing computer considered such a huge advance in AI? Because Jeopardy represents a next generation on AI that advancements in artificial intelligence and natural language processing that overcome the formidable challenge of conveying the same information in many different ways. The supercomputer owes that significance to its ability to deliver more than calculations and documents. This kind of ability makes this machine more equipped than any before it to systematize "thoughts" and converse.

IP address : An Internet Protocol address (IP address) is usually a numerical label assigned to each device (e.g., computer, printer) participating in a computer network that uses the Internet protocol for communication. An IP address serves two principal functions: host or network interface identification and location addressing. Sources : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_address iOS : iOS is Apple's mobile operating system. It was originally developed for the iPhone, and it has extended to support other Apple devices such as the iPod touch, iPad and Apple TV. Geohot : George Hotz, known for working with other people to unlock the iPhone, allowing the phone to be used with other wireless carriers. 5. If possible, describe a solution to the concern (issue). There is no possible solution because even if Sony gets hold of all IP addresses, there will be alternate ways for users to still access GeoHot's websites and videos. Moreover, the US justice system shouldn't give rights to companies to access personal information, because it is basically invading peoples' privacy.

What does cloud computing deal with? Cloud computing deals with all the technology and support for the infrastructure of the cloud such as networking, database, storage, and management applications. Fshared services (with standard framework and shared application programming interface (API)) - these services can be shared in order for all users to have access to them. Fstandard user interface - Web browsers to have access to the cloud services. Fself-service - Users must help themselves by self service when it comes to doing cloud services since actions are carried over the computer, not from human to human. Fservice metering - The Charge of the usage of the cloud services. Faccess over the internet - The medium of having access to the internet, as well as other places over the internet. Explain horizontal and vertical services. Horizontal Services - cloud applications, cloud storage, cloud servers, and cloud collaboration. These horizontal services are the services that are spread around horizontally as the infrastructure, and the base of the cloud service. It provides the technology and memory for clouds for example. Vertical Services - government services, cloud entertainment, cloud publishing and online ad networks, cloud healthcare, and cloud telecommunications. These vertical services are basically what we use the cloud services for, which field they are in, and how they are used. Define each layer of services. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) - This is a service usually from outsourcing done by an organization so that the actual infrastructure to hold the storage, hardware, and other components are stored elsewhere. Why is bandwidth important? Internet bandwidth will drive the popularity of cloud services in the country, as businesses and consumers will demand more services as bandwidth increases. Explain: -exploitive nature of the existing paradigm -difference between Facebook and Unthink Summarize the TechCrunch article. all nov 1 avik
  •
Unthink is a brand new social networking site where you can customize anything you want however way we want it to be. There are no arbitrary changes that will happen. It also aims to expose all the "evils" of Facebook and other social networking sites, since they have access and can use our information as and when they'd like. Unthink has branded itself as the 'anti-Facebook' and has gotten an amazing response on the day of its inauguration. Unthink is still in its beta stages. There are a few differences: - * Unthink allows you to make changes to your privacy settings, which are better compared to Facebook. There are no arbitrary changes that will happen on Unthink. * Unthink also allows for migration of accounts from an existing Facebook account. * We can also isolate the advertisements and group them accordingly as we want. Our interest and liking of particular brands may also be rewarded with discounts and offers.
