This article speaks about the merger of internet tv(Google TV) and cable companies. The internet TVs work on the basis of an Ethernet connection or a built-in wifi card. It then communicates with the router and connects the television to the internet. This gives the internet the capability to run apps such as Youtube, Netflix, Flickr, Yahoo and so on. These apps are either programed in the television by default or can be downloaded by the app store that the manufacturer of the television has available. In this the television communicates with the home/work network which sends signals to the service provider's center which then sends signals to the satellites which help transmit data from the internet to the television. The reason it would be important for network providers to make services available for the sole purpose of these televisions is that then the cable providers can give their subscribers a wider range of channels and other viewing options since it can then collect data from all its centers around the world and send it the television.

A very slow recovery is seen in the field of IT after the economic melt down however the bad economy is half the problem since another factor which has been growing since a very long time. It is offshoring of IT jobs from developed countries such as US and in Europe to countries such as China and India. It is also predicted that the IT jobs shall go down by 50% in the next four years in Europe and US.Also in this article the solely blames outsourcing for lack of jobs in developed countries and does not talk about how leads to growth in economies of developing nations which increases the consumption of goods manufactured in the developed countries and also leads to creation of new jobs. Hence this article has only one opinion. It does not talk about the growing opportunities for IT workers in countries besides the US and so on. It should focus on how offshoring had led to the ceasing of digital divides since individuals in developing nations now have economic power to consume similar products as Americans or Europeans and also the growing economies give the government chances to improve the infrastructure. Hence in the end it benefits all.

The article posted by Elisavet was about the government of Chine censoring the data that is on the internet. The government does not limit it's censorship to pornography and other inappropriate media but it also extends to censorship to freedom of speech and expression. Even though the daily internet users may not realize it but are unable to view many news posts, and other forms of information that may be helpful. This takes away their freedom as internet users. This is however not the case in the US and the internet users here have much more freedom and this creates a divide in the access to internet and the basic concept of net neutrality is lost.

The main stake holders in this articles are the Military, FBI, the government and all foreign surveillance. The technology involved is the military database. It has many important details and high level data that would be harmful if in wrong hands. The government needs to secure the data base to avoid in foreign invasion on their database hence this would pose a serious threat to the nations security. The first step in securing the government database is to take it off the main internet and hence there would be no way to access it unless if an individual or an organization had authorization to it.
