      Elena mentioned privacy and "Big Brother".   I think this TED talk interesting.  Not sure if interesting is the right word.

      I use the TED Talk with my students when I am teaching the 9 Element of Digital Citizenship. I want students to be aware of how google really works. I bet most people don't know how much google collects information about you.

Basically, what comes back to you in your search results depends on your past searches, likes and location. The scary part is that what gets filtered out of your search results is not decided by you but by the algorithms of the companies that are providing you with the results.
