The title of the article above summarizes the useful article. This was assigned in practicum homework, but I wanted to share it with those who are not in practicum yet because I think this topic is so important.

These are great lesson plans that have been designed around meeting standards for our students.

This website provides software that has three dimensional visuals for just about any math concept. The graphics can easily be moved, flipped and altered letting the students explore. It is a great tool for all upper level math courses to helps students better understand the physical representation of math equations. The only downfall is that it is not free.

Wolfram Alpha is a great website, especially for mathematics. It covers content areas that I have learned in Calculus and Calculus II. Integrals are one of the hardest concepts in Calculus II, and with Wolfram Alpha a student is able to type in the integral or any mathematical problem and view the step-by-step process in order to evaluate it properly. I use it regularly to check my steps integrating integrals for homework assignments outside of class, and a teacher would be able to use this website to instantaneously demonstrate the correct order of events for mathematical equations during class discussions. This is a great educational tool for students and educators.

TED Talks have always been a rich source of new ideas and creative ways of looking at the world around us. I believe this is an excellent site for students and teachers to get ideas about thinking "out of the box." Under the main page is a like to TED-Ed which is a new site for sharing education ideas.

Teachers.net is a free website that teachers can use to get ideas on lesson plans for any subject area and for any grade level. The lesson plans are uploaded to the website by teachers to make classroom planning easier. Along with the lesson plans there are other classroom ideas, teaching methods, and much more for teachers to use as a quick and easy classroom resource!

This is a great way for students to explore unique locations and it makes learning more authentic. They have field trips to deserts, to volcanoes, and even to the rainforest! Your students can go back in time to the dark ages, dinosaurs, and the American Presidency.

Education Oasis has many awesome ideas for all aspects of your classroom needs. Lesson plans, grphic organizers and printable materials are available and ideas on classroom management and teacher tested tip are included as well as links to additional sites for students and educators.

Discovery Education Website guides for teachers/ administrators/ all grade levels and many lesson plans involving technology.

This is a great website that you can use for every elementary school grade, it comes with many grade levels with games for every day of the week that help with many different subjects varying from reading, social studies, math, and many more.

This is a great web site to help teachers out with the technology portion of their teaching. It gives you a great amount of tips and tools, a weekly newsletter about schools and technology, lesson plans and so much more!

A great way to know what is going on in our district. See what new issues are being considered. Also see what policies in the district are so you know how you should handle certain situations like bullying.

This site is full of fun and engaging content that is curriculum based. There are movies, quizes, games, experiments, and much more. The content covered includes math, science, technology, English, social studies, art, music and health. There are different ways to search for the desired topic. One of those ways is searching by the state standard, which could be most benificial to educators.

This website lists 50 ways for you to use technology in the classroom. For example how you could use Word Processing, the Internet, spreadsheets and data bases and so on. This website might just have a different variation of ways to use technology that you hadn't thought about before.

There are tutorials for Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Dreamweaver, Internet Explorer, Inspiration, Kidspiration and much more. Different tutorials are provided for different operating systems. This would be useful for teachers and students.

Here, at the left side of the page under the US Legislative information, there is a link that connects you to all you need to know about copyright laws and policies... there's everything from licensing, publications, how to copy a document, how to register a book, and so on. It could really help answer questions not only in the classroom for students, but for you as a teacher as well when you are distributing work or showing information in the classroom.

A great way for teachers, parents, and students to find new tools in order to develop the skills in literacy. teachers, parents and students all have different links that are more centered towards their goals. For teachers this is a great way to help engage your students when learning to read. Parents this is a great way to help be involved in your child's literacy development and students come enjoy the online fun with virtual reading groups, literacy development and, developing your personal interests within books and authors.
