Content This site is very informational, and helpful when searching for information on the cattle disease Brucellosis. The authors of this site are easily found, and show that these are credible authors. The information reaches its attended audience well, and the site has very reliable information. The site seems up to date, and has all the needed elements to get a brief overview of the disease. The content of the site is free of bias. Design The design of this site is more plain, but still has everything needed to make a nice internet source. The site has many hyperlinks to other diseases which makes it helpful to find lots of information in one place. All links are working properly, and add to the content of the site. This site is well worth visiting if you are interested in cattle diseases such as brucellosis. Attribution The site has its multiple authors listed at the bottom, and also contains a Privacy Policy link. This site has many different places the information was obtained from, and it sites all of those sources at the bottom.

Tonya Searles The purpose of citationmachine.net is to aid anybody who is writing a referenced work to properly cite the material they are using. The website is dedicated to preventing plagiarism. The intended audience is high schools, universities, teachers and independent researchers. The website provides easy to see choices for referencing in the major formats used in writing such as APA, MLA, and Chicago. The user would select the format choice they wish to use and fill in the boxes with the appropriate information, and the machine generates a complete reference in the proper format. The site appears easy to use and read. For a student (or author of a paper) who wishes to cite their material this website is definitely relevant, accurate, and purposeful. However, although I can clearly see the website has been updated since my last visit there is no indication of its currency. The citations generated are in line with current standards when putting in an APA reference. There is also a link to an older version of the site which also indicates currency, albeit without a date. The creator of the website is David Warlick, and while there was little information about him on the site, a google search revealed him to be an author and educator, indicating he may be an authority in referencing materials. Strengths of the website include clear step by step instructions on how to use the citation machine. There are also links that will take you to places to evaluate the originality of an essay to further avoid plagiarism. A weakness of the website is the amount of ads on the site, but it is free, and a network, so ads are expected. The design of the website is not overly ostentatious. There are simply colored blocks with text to click on, and the orange and reds are not overly bright and distracting. Mitchell Sept. 5, 2011 Overview: Math Playground is an interactive website that has a bunch of different games for kids of all levels. It contains games, word problems, logic puzzles, and videos. The site was designed by a teacher who's class needed a fun way to practice math facts. The site provides great opportunities for students to work on problem solving, math art to real world math. Content: The games that are listed all have great educational value and are based on specific concepts. The second tab is word problems. These are organized by grade level and cover many different levels. Some of the games can be selected by certain topics, others are general and cover specific topics. The problems all have a "Need Help?" button that helps explain the question if students are lost. This site also contains logic problems that help to get kids thinking, a very important skill for kids. The most valuable tab is the math videos tab that helps explain different topics for kids who need it. Design: The layout of this site is very inviting and open for students. It is easy to navigate and fun to use. The pictures are inviting and help to understand what the games are about. The only downfall is the ads that are on the top and bottom of the pages. These are easily mistaken as part of the site. Kids might have a hard time knowing what is part of the site and what is not. The colors are very nice and would draw the attention of students very easily.

This is an intended audience from kindergarten to 7th grade, each game is classified in a group of games designated for a certain grade and subject matter. The purpose is to give students a fun way to apply what they are learning. I liked the activities and I think the games themselves were very good and user friendly. They really hit on the math topic and some of them are really challenging. I also like that they can compete with others or there are other games where you can go at your own pace.
