Overview: This is an AWESOME resource for middle school teachers! There are many already created lesson plans that you can tweak to the desires of your own classroom. There are also many activites that are on this website that are different from the usual worksheets. Context: This is right on. I clicked on the links to see how valid they were and the information was very accruate. From what i have looked up this was created by History teachers. This is also an ".org" website which also makes it more trusting. Design: The information is very orgainized and easy to filter through. It is displayed so you can find it on what your lesson plan is.

Oct. 7th 2012 Overview: This site is focused on free K-5 curriculum. Based on the content and design it is obviously intended for a teachers use. There are a boatload of resources on this site for teachers to use in their classrooms and incorporate into their curriculum. The site includes lesson plans, activites, games, and planning tools available to teachers. Content: The site is pretty restricted if you do not have an account. For the sake of this review I got a free account. The site is broke up into categories and even includes a teachers chat room. The main focus of this website is to offer tons of planning resources to teachers across the globe in all subjects grade levels K-5. Design: The design of this site is less flashy than the others I have reviewed, but that fits the audience. The site is straightforward, loads fast, and is not cluttered. It is also very easy to navigate. The site is also broken up into Classroom, Homeschool, and After School categories.

Overview: This website would work perfectly for 5th grade students to be tested on the information that they had learned over the unit they were doing. There are many different sections that would relate to anything social studies related. The website is a little boring for my taste but the point of figuring out what the students learned is really tested with the different sections and questions. Content: None of the creators of the website are on the main page. I'm not quite sure who created the website but from the questions asked in the quizzes I know that the information is correct or I was just taught wrong. History is pretty unchangeable and the social studies part of it wouldn't change. Design: The design of the website is again a little boring but it is after all just testing what the students should have learned. I would update the look just a little bit. There are no pictures on the home page but some of the questions do have maps or other visual things.

Sarah Skinner on January 22, 2010 Overview The purpose of this website is to start getting toddlers interested in books. There are many storybooks available to read to toddler aged children. There are also themed sections for special holidays where coloring page and educational games can be found. My overall impression of this site is that it would be great for toddlers to be able to start getting ready for school activities. Content It is easy to determine the basic content of this site. The site tells exactly who the webpage is for. The author is not clearly identified and I am not able to find a link to find information about the author. The sponsor is clearly identified in the top right hand corner. There is a contact link available to receive more information if needed. The latest revision date is not available and it is unclear if the content is updated frequently. However, this site really does not need information updated since it is reading material for toddlers. All links are working properly. The purpose of the site is clear that it is informational and entertainment. The website looks complete and professional and everything is organized very well. All material is easily understood and has a lot of useful information. The content is free of bias opinions. There are interactivities available for toddlers that make this site more valuable. All information appears to be accurate and correct grammar and spelling are used. There are sites available for teachers and parents as well on the page which would be helpful. Design The homepage downloaded efficiently and is very well put together. There are clear titles and descriptions to let you know where you are. There is an index with a variety of different links to click on. The sponsor is identified clearly and there is a contact link to get a hold of the sponsor. Kayla Rider January 23, 2010 Overview This site is amazing for kids of all ages! Even if you are a kid at heart, it is still a great site. Also, it is very informative. It is a history site for the United States of America. It has games and loads of information on it, especially information that is normally not found on information and educational websites. It is brought to you in a fun way. I would definitely use this site to teach my students a thing or two about history and to keep them involved with it. I would also use it in the home for my children. Fun and very informational. Content This website provides a fun filled environment of historical facts about the USA and people of the USA. It is provided by the Library of Congress, so therefore it MUST be credible. However, if you don't believe in the title of it, there is a very informative About Us section that will have you believing in the content of the site. It also provides contact information so that you can ask questions about anything on or off the site. Overall, very impressive. Design The design of this website catches your eyes immediately. It is fun! It is easy to navigate through, especially since it was designed with young minds in mind. There is a table of contents and colorful links to navigate through. Overall, again, very impressive.

Kayla Rider January 23, 2010 Overview I found this site and thought it to be a great idea for art classes to incorporate technology into their classrooms. It is aimed at art teachers and students. It grabs the reader right away with its qwerky sayings and great design. Thought it would be a lot of fun to navigate through entirely. Content This website is aimed at the arts. A portion of our lives that is slowly dwindling downward. It creates a technology environment to enrich and learn more about art. It is geared towards teachers and students but anyone can benefit from this website. Design Of course, being an artsy website, it is colorful and fun to look at. However, the overall design of it is quite applicable as well. It is easy to navigate through and catches a readers attention quickly. Overall, I believe it has great potential for a classroom and/ or a fun afternoon of learning more about art and yourself.

Sara Scribner 1/22/10 Overview: This website is intended for students and teachers in Elementary Education. It includes interactive games ranging in difficulty from grades kindergarten through 5th. Although some games are less educational than others, this site offers some helpful, fun tools in teaching most subjects. Overall, this website is very credible and well suited for Elementary Education. Content: At first glance, the audience and basic content for this site are easily determined. Located at the bottom of the homepage are links to find information about the author, the site sponsor, contact information, and a note to parents and teachers with more information about the site. A copyright date was available, but a revision date was not provided. However, the site seems to be current. As I navigated through this website, all links were working. ABCya! is well organized, easy to understand when learning a new game, and provides accurate (content-wise and spelling/grammar-wise) information. Although this site offers games for all subjects, it seems primarily focused on student math skills, for majority of its games are math related. Also, it is clear this site is commercial because of the many ads that litter the pages. Despite the multitude of ads, I believe the content is accurate and useful in the classroom. Design: This quickly downloaded website is visually appealing to me and to young children. Although the rainbow of colors makes the page seem busy, it is very organized and the content is easy to locate and use. Links to other websites are not given, but there is so much information provided one could most likely find what he is looking for. Fun sounds accompany most games one plays adding excitement. For Kindergarteners, all games have sounds and the instructions are read aloud. I would however caution students using this site unsupervised because of the many advertisements.
