This blog by Matt Bergman, gives wonderful tips and skills to try when incorporating iPads into the classroom, which I am currently working on doing.

This is a website where there are constantly new ideas and documents being pinned for just about anything that you are looking for. Whether it be for different room ideas, reading groups, math, it has it all!

This website is great for both teachers and students. It has millions of primary sources from U.S. history. It works for research or even simply as a lesson starter with an interesting photograph.

This site summarizes and offers additional sources for each of the landmark supreme court cases in the U.S. It also has different reading levels of each opinion for differentiating instruction.

This is a movie making app that is web based and students can use google drive to collaborate on. It is great for the beginning movie editor.

This is a type of presentation service that would be great for digital story telling. It is more exciting than your traditional powerpoint and provides a more visual way for students to present ideas.

Prezi is an excellent presentation tool for both students AND teachers. Many other storytelling aids exist (and there's always PowerPoint), but all the ones I've seen are simply copycats of Prezi. Hand's down, Prezi is the gold standard in Web 2.0 presentationmaking.

My students love viewing content through prezi rather than ppt! I need to expand it to student use next year.

This site allows you to make effortless videos and share them with others. The site does the editing for you and creates a very professional looking product. You can stitch together almost any image or video clip making it great for story telling.

Animoto is a great tool for sharing pictures and video. It makes very professional looking videos. Teachers can sign up for a free premium account that they can renew every year.

This site allows students to tag images with other media. They can then share and comment on others.

This allows teachers to hold a forum. Students can reply with audio or text to a question. They can even draw on the existing image to make a point. Others in the group can then respond in turn.

As you could tell from our class using it, I think this would be great for small group discussions versus the whole class. I could see this being used efficiently for a group presentation that the students would create and then have another group comment on the voice thread for pointers on what to consider, etc. This resource is definitely both uses depending on how you set it up whether it is a teacher forum or a student led forum.

Twitter is a device to not only stay connected to friends, but it also a way to stay connected to what is happening in the education world.  Twitter allows you to follow people and see the things they are tweeting about in education.

This site allows users to create diagrams online together.

This site gives users a picture and then users drag and drop words onto the picture.

This site is for tweens to connect with each other in positive ways.

This is an interesting site. Is it specifically for girls? I think it would be of value to our school counselor but I am not sure how to use it in biology. I agree, looks like a great way for tweens to connect.

I agree that this can be used in the classroom. However, I see its value as an extension to the regular curriculum. Girls need positive role models just as boys do and this looks like a great forum for girls to receive that positivity. I see this as mostly for students because I doubt that students would comment freely and effectively if they knew their teacher was reading their posts. This is the first resource of this kind that I am aware of. I am not sure of any other site that allows for this kind of communication. Great find.

Little Bird Tales gives students a chance to make a digital representation of a story they have created or it also makes a great virtual response portal.

Symbaloo gives you a great place to book mark specific websites, videos, or documents to use in your classroom at a later time.

This is a very easy and colorful way to keep track of those bookmarks a user wants on multiple computers. This is very easy even for those who are not tech savvy.

Padlet offers students and staff a great way to collaborate with one another on a digital "whiteboard" of sorts.

I'm excited to try to incorporate Padlet into my classroom. I think it's a great way to get kids to brainstorm together, or even use as an "exit ticket" for the day. I think both teachers and students can use this as a collaborative tool, to take a survey, to brainstorm, etc. This is a great tool for students and teachers to share ideas with each other. Pinterest would be a similar way for students and teachers to share their ideas with each other, but not exactly the same way. Thanks for sharing, Tamra!

Could be used as a learning management system! Lessons, games, and activities are linked to my textbook. Interactive and allows me to be a part of a learning community and share ideas, resources, and lessons.
